Pastor Alf’s Travelogue of a Walk in the Footsteps of Paul

P

astor Alf will share his travelogue of the June 2018 trip to Greece and Turkey with members of MDPC, A Walk in the Footsteps of Paul. Alf was raised in a strong Christian home in Minnesota, but spent part of his youth in Nevada, Missouri. He met his future wife, Shari, in high school; they married right after graduating from college. Alf was ordained in the Presbyterian Church in 1991. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Luther College (Decorah, Iowa) with a BA, majoring in Political Science and Psychology. Alf went on to receive his Master of Divinity (1990) and Master of Theology (1991) from Princeton Theological Semi-

nary, and his Doctor of Ministry from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary (2011). Since his ordination, Alf has served three churches: Collegiate Presbyterian Church in Ames, Iowa; First & Calvary Presbyterian Church in Springfield, Missouri; and First Presbyterian Church in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Alf and his wife Shari have two grown children.
