___________________________________________________________________________________ Summary: This position requires an individual who is called to serve the Lord through the gift of executive administration assistance in a long-term supportive role, to organize and direct the activities of the Senior Pastor’s and Executive Pastor’s offices and provide professional, personal and social skills and support for their ministries. Goal: Keep the Sr. Pastor’s and Executive Pastor’s paths clear of non-essential tasks and decisions so that they can do what only they can do. Spiritual: • Profess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and desire to serve Him • Commitment to spiritual growth and a healthy lifestyle • Model expectations and standards of Vineyard Columbus to staff and church • Membership at Vineyard Columbus (currently or willing to member) • Understanding of the vision and values of Vineyard Columbus Qualifications: • High level of Emotional Intelligence and Learning Agility • Excellent communication skills- written & verbal (in person & on phone) • Strict confidentiality regarding all matters learned in this sensitive environment • Ability to navigate delicate situations with grace and respect • High Integrity • Great flexibility in all aspects of the job, different seasons and currents of workflow • Excellent with people - kind and gracious; great social skills • Great ease and skill in relating cross-culturally • Self-confident and humble • Ability to relate to all staff and volunteers in all areas • Ability to function as a team member and/or leader • Strong organizational skills; maintains an orderly, tidy work environment • Ability to organize and direct projects from start to finish with “can do” attitude • Self-starter • Excellent typing and dictation typing skills with speed, competency and endurance • Strong computer skills: o Database, Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, E-mail, Internet, etc. • Strong problem solving skills • Availability to the work schedule needs of the Senior Pastor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The position of Senior Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor includes, but is not limited to, the following duties: • Maintain Senior Pastor’s and Executive Pastor’s Office • Build and maintain strong relationships within all ministry areas of the church and within the national/international relational network of the Sr. Pastor • Create a warm hospitable atmosphere for visitors in the office and on the phone • Assist the Sr. Pastor and Executive Pastor with VC Staff relationships by keeping them aware of life situations (joyful and difficult), important dates, new or exiting employees, etc. • Manage the Senior Pastor’s and Executive Pastor’s calendars o Coordinate the scheduling of appointments and meetings o Prepare daily calendar o Attach pertinent information to calendar for Senior Pastor to reference o Protect study and sermon writing time o Coordinate other project preparation time • Weekend worship service preparation including typing of weekly sermon manuscript from dictation including announcements, etc. and send to appropriate people • Manage phone calls and correspondence o Answer in coming phone calls o Know where to direct phone calls o Prompt return of voice mail o Manage mail o Prepare and mail correspondence from Senior Pastor and Executive o Manage and respond to all e-mail • Schedule meetings o Notify appropriate people o Secure room o Prepare meeting materials o Oversee set-up o Procure food and beverage needs • Maintain Sr. Pastor’s and Executive Pastor’s Ministry budgets via monthly credit card reports, expense reports, etc. • Handle the administrative tasks within the Time & Attendance program for the Sr. Pastor’s and Executive Pastor’s direct reports. • Create, maintain, and purge Senior Pastor’s and Executive Pastor’s files • Assist with projects and events (at the Senior Pastor’s direction) o Serve as a member of event planning teams o Manage details • Deal with speaking requests o Schedule and coordinate all speaking requests o Organize materials for event o Schedule travel o Maintain close communications with host church/organization • Serve as a resource for other ministry areas in relation to the Senior Pastor’s and Executive Pastor’s ministries • Attend bi-weekly staff prayer meetings, Executive Pastor’s Team Meeting and meet weekly with Senior Pastor for coordinating, planning, and communication • Be actively involved in the life and ministry of Vineyard Columbus • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor
