Senior Pastor Profile The Senior Pastor of Bell Shoals Baptist Church (BSBC) will provide Spirit directed leadership with a focused vision to reach the communities surrounding our multiple campuses and disciple the church to grow in its relationship with Christ. As such, the church will advance its mission to “Follow Jesus, Love People, and Make Disciples.”

We are searching for a Senior Pastor with the following gifts, skills, and qualifications:

Leadership

Preaching

❖ One who can assess the health of the church and, through the leadership of the Holy Spirit, develop and clearly communicate a vision for the revitalization and growth of BSBC. ❖ A skilled communicator with presence who can lead, equip, and motivate the staff and the congregation to implement the vision through appropriate actions.

❖ Expository preaching with a fresh approach that is delivered in a personable and relatable way for the purpose of connecting the Bible to real life for the edification of believers and evangelization of nonbelievers. ❖ Preaching that demonstrates careful, thorough exegesis of both Scripture and the culture with a clear intention to help the church see and respond to contemporary issues from a biblical, gospel-centered world view.

❖ A leader who equips and encourages the staff and congregation to implement and accomplish their goals for discipleship, growth, missions, and outreach.

❖ A preacher whose passion manifests itself in strong evangelical/missional fervor and intense enthusiasm to help his congregation know and treasure Jesus in the pages of their Bibles.

❖ One who is committed to leading and developing the staff team for the growth of the kingdom through the ministries of the church.

❖ Preaching that demonstrates an intense commitment to Bible literacy and engagement that extends well beyond Sunday morning.

Church Outreach and Revitalization ❖ An outwardly focused shepherd with an intense love for reaching the local community. One that has a passion and heart for evangelism and leads by example.

Pastoral Care ❖ A person who provides oversight to the care ministries of the church.

❖ A leader who is committed to and highly values investing in the next generation. ❖ A visionary who is capable of leading the staff and congregation through a revitalization.

❖ One who demonstrates the desire to reach out to the community with care and concern, exemplifying the love of Jesus in practical ways.

❖ A leader who will support our multisite campuses and the Academy.

❖ One who conveys compassion and accessibilty as he shepherds the flock.
