Letter from our Chamber President Hello All, We have such an exciting fall coming up and I am looking forward to seeing you all at one of our great events. With that in mind I would like to ask you all for help. We are so fortunate to have such a fabulous team at the Chamber office with Judy, Karen and Meryl, but they cannot do it all. So what I am hoping is that we can all give just a little bit to assist in making these events and committees a bigger success and take some of the pressure off our team in the office so they can focus on the day to day running of the Chamber and outreach for our membership. Not to mention that you can meet some really great people and have a lot of fun!!! We are currently looking for a couple volunteers

to join our nominating committee for the upcoming Board of Directors seats that are vacant. Chili-Fest is right around the corner and with our fabulous co-chairs, Jay Mills and Bob Bradley, we need a few committee members to join them and start the planning! We are also looking for committee members for our Annual Meeting in December and the 2015 Arts & Crafts Festival. If you are able to join a committee and give us a little bit of your time, please let me or someone in the office know. If you want to help but just are not sure where, just ask Judy, myself or any member of the Board of Directors and we can go through all of the great options we have available. Thank you in advance for stepping up and volunteering.

Member Spotlight Eric Dunn, POP Weight Loss 455 Boston Post Road, Suite 6

On a daily basis I will meet with clients to discuss our program and create a meal and exercise plan based on their individual daily schedule. I also meet with clients to plan the week ahead or discuss any challenges they’ve had. We are a great resource to learn how to live a healthier lifestyle. Collectively, our clients have lost over 300 pounds in our first two months of business. What I love most about my job are my co-workers—they are a great group of people that make coming to work every day enjoyable. Helping people lose weight and achieve their goals is an amazing and incredibly satisfying feeling. My favorite Chamber program are the Monthly Membership Meetings. This is a great place to learn about other businesses and connect with members in a relaxed yet professional setting. Personal philosophy: There is no substitute for hard work and dedication to your craft. Being passionate about what you do reflects well upon who you are and translates to your clientele. The Chamber member featured in our Member spotlight is randomly selected at our Monthly Membership Meeting. Our next Member Meeting is Sept 17th at Gladeview Rehab at 60 Boston Post Rd! Register online or call 860 388-3266.
