Our Strategy for Making Disciples at Grace Church: We seek to REACH ! people who need Jesus, CONNECT ! them to God and other Christ followers, FORM ! them to have a growing relationship with Jesus, and SEND ! them into the world to serve God and others! This week we are sharing about “Great” serving Relationships with people in Government. This is such a touchy issue right now with both Liberals and Conservatives, who both, by the way, make up the body of Christ especially here at Grace Church. We are hurling insults at one another and failing to walk hand in hand in Christian Love, which should be the hallmark of every “great” Christian. I’m not talking about singing Kumbaya, I’m actually talking about honoring one and another in love even during our differences. One of the ways I stay out of the feuding is that I hold high the Name of Jesus. It allows me to walk in peace, love, and unity. Galatians 5:22-24 (NLT) reads “ But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self –control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.” You know what? No matter how passionate you are on any subject you still have to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. As J. Hudson Taylor, founder of China Inland Missions, said, “Christ is either Lord of all, or is not Lord at all.” His presence, the Holy Spirit, should guide you in everything that you do. I know it is hard to not pay attention to what your thoughts, your emotions, and your intellect is telling you, but listen to the voice of your Master and He will lead you into great relationships with those who serve in government. Even if he leads you to the same convictions, he will surely lead you there in peace.

Holy Communion— We share the Lord’s Supper together the first
Sunday of the month and the Wednesday following. We use grape juice for those who struggle with alcohol. Jesus offers this gift of his love to every person who needs him. This means that you are invited to join in!
WEDNESDAY WORSHIP— This week is Testimony Night. Join us at
6:30 followed by dinner at 7:30, and small groups at 8. (If you are not in a group and want to be, mark your Let’s Connect Card and we will contact you and tell you more!)

on Saturday afternoon. Seeking more happy voices! You don’t have to know how to read music, but you do have to love singing to God! See you then!

Reach Team—We are looking for new members to help brainstorm and plan our Reach events: Laundromat Karaoke, Love Thy Neighbor, Community Festival, neighborhood car washes and whatever else the Holy Spirit has in mind. All are welcome to join us and DREAM BIG! Contact Marc Meola. Volunteer at TURN AROUND! Make connections with the neighborhood, and let them know all about our church! Join this crazy team of sorters, sellers, checkers and stockers. Lend an ear and a hand to our neighbors! Are you good at lifting, sorting, and stocking shelves, then contact Judy to work during the week. Email Judy and take a shift!

Attention all you artsy-crafty people, Attention all you folks who thrive on a hands-on challenge! Grace-Central wants for build a team of like-minded souls to enhance our worship and surroundings. Join us at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, after service to discuss possibilities. (If you're interested but cannot attend, please call Bill Guyn at 995-2199 or email
[email protected]). Hospitality Volunteers! Are you friendly? That is all it takes to help for Sunday or Wednesday at the Welcome Desk as a Greeter, or as an Usher. We are always looking for people to hand out worship bulletins and nametags. You can serve in the Parking Lot and wear the cool orange day-glo-vest! Mark your “Let’s Connect” card and we’ll contact you or email Bill Guyn. Visitation Team! Come join us to visit, call, email, or write those who are new to our church. We try to contact each new visitor every week. Perhaps your heart leans towards those who are ill, shut-in or in the hospital. This team visits those people as well. CHARGE CONFERENCE will be held Sunday, October 4 at 3 PM at the Cape Coral campus of Grace Church. At this meeting, we will consider the annual business of Grace Church. Everyone is invited. The Turn Around Boutique and Thrift Store of Grace Church, Ft. Myers Central Campus seeks an Online Sales Manager. This person will be responsible for organizing and implementing the Online Thrift Store, via the thrift store website, Shopify, Ebay, Craigslist, and/or Etsy. This position is commission only. The candidate must be a self-starter, possess great time management skills, be knowledgeable of the Internet and Social Media, have the ability to appraise and value antiques and everyday items, and have amazing computer skills. We have an active prayer team here and are always looking for the next person God wants to be on His team. We have several areas you can be a part of. Monday Celebrate Recovery Worship Service This week is a Lesson on Gratitude by Scott T. If you have a hurt, a habit, or a hang-up that is hurting your relationship with God, with others, and with yourself, this is the perfect healing place for you. Amazing inexpensive BBQ at 5:30, Worship at 6:45, and 12 step recovery groups at 8:00. Break every chain through the power of our mighty God! Grace Church provides quality loving care during Sunday contemporary worship service and on Wednesday evenings! Grace KIDZ - JAWBREAKERS! No sense arguing with God, but rather obey him! Check out the book of Jonah with us and see how obedience is key in our walk with God! Our prayer: Forgive us the times we fail to follow you.
