Grow Colossians 1:28-29 September 2, 2018

The purpose of Parkwood Baptist Church is to glorify God by laboring together or the growth of all believers while going with the gospel to all people(s).

Main Point:

The LORD God has purposed the body of Christ to be intricately involved in the spiritual growth of one another through the faithful proclamation of Christ.

Spiritual Growth for everyone in the body of Christ occurs through the faithful proclamation of Christ. 28 Him

we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. What is the means for spiritual growth of everyone? • “Him we proclaim, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom” • Colossians 3:16-17   How do we share the word of Christ with everyone?    • “with all wisdom” • Hebrews 3:12-13 • Ephesians 4:15 • Philemon 7 Who is involved in the spiritual growth of everyone? • “that we may present everyone mature in Christ” • Colossians 2:19

Spiritual Growth for everyone in the body of Christ occurs when everyone embraces their personal responsibility. 29

For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.

Does everyone in the body of Christ share the responsibility for the spiritual growth of others? • Ephesians 4:11-16

Am I embracing my responsibility in the body of Christ by joining in laboring together for the growth of all believers? o 1 Corinthians 15:10
