Visioneering: e Life God Blesses
e Kingdom Life God has a Promised Land for every believer and every church—a place of spiritual authority, supernatural power, and divine blessing. I must ask God to give me a clear and compelling vision for living within the kingdom life because...
•
I cannot possess what I have not pictured.
•
If I don’t have vision, I will end up settling for less than God’s best; less than the kingdom life.
Joshua 1:1-9 After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses’ aide: “Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them—to the Israelites. I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.
Joshua 1:1-9 “ Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Great Sea on the west. No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.
Joshua 1:1-9 “Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the leM, that you may be successful wherever you go.
Joshua 1:1-9 “Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything wriOen in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
A Vision For The Kingdom Life 1. Getting a vision of the kingdom life will require me to let go of the past. “Moses is dead!” ~Joshua 1:2
God wanted to give Joshua a breakthrough to a new and prosperous future, but it required a break with the old dependencies of the past!
A Vision For The Kingdom Life Moving forward into a new reality of blessing means...
•
I cannot be enamored with my past successes.
•
I cannot be be enslaved by my past failures.
“Let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress.” ~Hebrews 12:1
A Vision For The Kingdom Life 2. Getting a vision of the kingdom life will require me to get clear about the future. “I will give you every place where you set your foot.” ~Joshua 1:3 & 8
“From the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.” ~Joshua 1:4
God always gives in abundance!
A Vision For The Kingdom Life 3. Living with a vision of the kingdom life will require me to be courageous in the present! “Be strong and courageous ... Be strong and very courageous ... Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged” ~Joshua 1:6, 7 & 9
Fear, not problems, will keep you from God’s promises!
A Vision For The Kingdom Life 4. Living with a vision of the kingdom life will require me to fully obey God’s plan! “Obey all the laws Moses gave you. Do not turn away from them, and you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of the Law continually. Meditate on it day and night so you may be sure to obey all that is written in it. Only then will you succeed.” ~Joshua 1:7-‐8
“For the eyes of the LORD search back and forth across the whole earth, looking for people whose hearts are fully devoted to him, so he can show his great power in helping them.” ~II Chronicles 16:9
A Vision For The Kingdom Life 5. Living with a vision of the kingdom life will require me to lean into God’s promises!

• God promises protection: “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you.” (verse 5)
