May 2016

Freshmen (’19) receive service learning information during Religion class

Summer 2016

Spend time researching, contacting and visiting agencies where you might want to serve

September 15, 2016 Back to School Night: Sophomore parents hear about Service Learning philosophy, expectations, and deadlines October 15, 2016*

Sophomores (’19) submit proposals for committee review

May 1, 2017

Sophomores (’19) have completed at least 20 hours

September 1, 2017

Juniors (’19) have completed at least 40 hours In Religion Classes, students sign up indicating what they will be submitting for their Culminating Project

January 2018

Juniors (’19) have completed at least 50 hours Culminating Project, completed timesheet, and volunteer evaluation due

*Students were permitted to submit their proposals last spring and begin accruing service hours over the summer. Students who did so do not need to re-submit a proposal. Students must submit a proposal and receive clearance prior to beginning their service. Please note, the proposal should outline the student’s plans for direct service. A total of 50 hours must be completed by the end of the first semester of the student’s junior year.
