(Matin Responsory for Advent, adapted by John Urig) Tanya Coyne, mezzo soprano I look from afar, and behold I see the power of God coming, and a cloud covering the whole earth. Go ye out to meet him and say, tell us if you are the one who is to reign over the people of Israel. All ye inhabitors of the earth, and ye children of men, rich and poor, one with another, go ye out to meet him, and say: Hear, O thou shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock, tell if thou art He. Lift up your heads, o ye gates, and be ye lift up ye everlasting doors: and the King of glory shall come in who shall reign over the people of Israel. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost .
