* PRAYER OF PRAISE **WELCOME AND GREETINGS * SONG OF PRAISE "10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)" Chorus: Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul: Worship His holy name. Sing like never before, O my soul; I’ll worship Your holy name. The sun comes up; it’s a new day dawning. It’s time to sing Your song again. Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, Let me be singing when the evening comes. Chorus You’re rich in love and You’re slow to anger. Your name is great and Your heart is kind. For all Your goodness, I will keep on singing; Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find. Chorus And on that day when my strength is failing, The end draws near and my time has come, Still my soul will sing Your praise unending; Ten thousand years and then forever more. CALL TO CONFESSION COMMUNITY PRAYER OF CONFESSION Eternal God, in whom we live and move and have our being, whose face is hidden from us by our sins, and whose mercy we forget in the blindness of our hearts: Cleanse us from all our offenses, and deliver us from proud thoughts and vain desires, that with reverent and humble hearts we may draw near to You, confessing our faults, confiding in Your grace, and finding in You our refuge and strength; through Jesus Christ Your Son. Baloche/Kerr PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE / THE LORD'S PRAYER * HYMN OF PREPARATION, No. 435 “Like a River Glorious” Like a river glorious is God’s perfect peace, Over all victorious in its bright increase; Perfect, yet it floweth fuller every day; Perfect, yet it groweth deeper all the way. Refrain: Stayed upon Jehovah, hearts are fully blest — Finding, as He promised, perfect peace and rest. Hidden in the hollow of His blessed hand, Never foe can follow, never traitor stand; Not a surge of worry, not a shade of care, Not a blast of hurry — touch the spirit there. Refrain Every joy or trial falleth from above, Traced upon our dial by the Sun of Love; We may trust Him fully all for us to do; They who trust Him wholly find Him wholly true. Today we begin our new series, MOVEMENT, which is an exploration of 2 Corinthians. The focus of the series is on the church. The church is not a building. The church is not even a conglomeration of people. The church is a movement, a group of people ‘called out’ (ekklesia) to meet and glorify God, and to represent His Kingdom to a broken world. The church doesn’t sit still; it moves and grows. To be a Christian is to be on the move! Throughout this series we will explore what it means to be a part of this Movement of God.

Men, women, and young people who love and/or are inspired by art can be perfect guides (docents) to help others thoughtfully and emotionally “see” art. Background and training will be offered on art styles of this exhibit in the context of art and art history, on the collection itself, developing a tour theme, and touring adults and children. Training to become a docent/tour guide will take place on three Wednesday evenings in February as well as on the first Saturday morning in March when Larry Gerbens, the collector, and Elmer Yazzie, one of the artists in the Collection, will be here. Touring will take place Sunday, March 5 through Easter. Please call DiAne Fischer 760-815-6237 or Margaret Marshall 719-598-3257 for more information.
