Though service often occurs spontaneously, our Ministry Teams serve as the primary channels for facilitating service within our church, the community, and the world. Here are some current opportunities where people are needed. Please consider how you can steward your gifts for the sake of the body of Christ at Four Oaks and in our community!

Ushers Killearn Campus  1st Service: Contact Chuck Adcock ([email protected], 556-7218)  2nd Service: Contact Danny Adams ([email protected], 264-3603) Midtown Campus  Contact Zack Latham ([email protected], 305-335-1068) Ushers serve the congregation in the sanctuary before, during and after services by keeping Gray Cards, pencils and Bibles stocked, helping people find seats, collecting the offering, and picking up/restocking the Gray Cards after each service. They remain alert throughout the service in order to provide assistance in any situation that may arise.

Welcome Team Killearn Campus  Contact Tina Ayers ([email protected], 570-9658) Midtown Campus  Contact Bob Goddard([email protected], 309-1010) The Welcome Team exists to ensure that guests are greeted by a friendly face, given useful information about our church, engaged with biblical hospitality, and encounter the love of Christ in our fellowship. Welcome Team members greet all attenders and offer special assistance to guests, including helping new families check their children in on The City and escorting them to the appropriate classroom. Team members spend time after each service seeking out and engaging people new to Four Oaks, remaining alert to any need that may arise.

Coffee Team Killearn Campus  Contact Kevin French ([email protected], 877-6224) Midtown Campus  Contact Janna Thomas ([email protected], 321-4477) The Coffee Team exists to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for Sunday services and special events. On Sundays, members serve once every four weeks by arriving early to prepare coffee, and staying to clean up. Serving on the Coffee Team is a great way to meet people and practice hospitality.

Worship Team Contact Pastor Josh Hughes ([email protected], 385 -0004) The Worship Team exists to assist the gathered church in responding to the word, works and worthiness of God in Christ. Auditions are held 2-3 times per year; however, anyone interested should contact Pastor Josh at any time to determine current needs. Members are placed on the most appropriate team based on their talent set, skill level, and campus preference, and serve 1-3 Sundays a month. Rehearsals generally take place on Thursday nights at the Killearn campus.

AVL Production Teams Contact Matt Robinson ([email protected]) The Audio, Visual, & Lighting (AVL) Production Teams serve in a variety of roles (audio engineering, lighting operation, image magnification). Sunday commitment runs from around 7:15am-1pm at the Killearn campus and from 3-7pm at the Midtown campus. The Audio Team serves the church by running sound and monitors on Sundays and for the weekly rehearsals. The Visual Media Team builds and executes visual media presentations and operates the image magnification component of the services in the sanctuary. The Lighting Team sets up and runs lighting for the various church meetings. No experience is required.

Parking Attendants Killearn Campus  Contact Kirk Tanis ([email protected], 385-8118) Midtown Campus  Contact Jeff Machado ([email protected], 792-3333) This is an occasional need at the Killearn campus and a weekly need at the Midtown campus. At Midtown, team members serve once a month on Sunday nights putting up signs and helping people park before the worship service. At Killearn, parking attendants serve for special events where attendance is expected to be larger than usual (such as on Easter Sunday and conferences).

Facility Clean-up Killearn Campus  Contact Kirk Tanis ([email protected], 385-8118) Volunteers clean and re-stock restrooms, vacuum classrooms, and mop floors on Sundays for about an hour after 2nd service. Volunteers generally serve one Sunday a month, but commitments can be made for other frequencies, such as once a quarter, twice per year, etc. We are also happy for folks to schedule a time to come in for a few hours during church office hours as well.

4OAKS Student  Contact Rob Pifer, Pastor of Student Ministries ([email protected], 385-0004)  Contact Ashlea Wiley, Assistant Director of Student Ministries (ashlea.wiley@fouroakschurch,com, 385-0004 Opportunities to work with 7th-12th graders include large and small group discipleship on Wednesday nights, 7th/8th grade Sunday morning classes, worship team, local community outreach, chaperoning, and assisting with fundraisers.

character of God, so that they will worship the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. There are several teams and roles you can fill.

Sunday Volunteers (Killearn & Midtown campuses Nursery Team prays and cares for the children, as well as teaches toddlers a lesson. Roles include teacher and helper. Preschool/Elementary Team leads children in praise and classroom time. Praise time includes singing, a missions offering/story, and learning a memory verse.

Classroom time includes a Bible lesson, small group prayer, and a review activity (and a snack and free play for preschoolers). Roles include lead teacher, small group leader, music leader, and helper.

Special Needs Team Members provide each child one-on-one attention and incorporate the child into Sunday School activities if possible. Requirements: School year volunteers serve each Sunday in September-May, and our summer volunteers serve each Sunday in June-August. Our substitute volunteers serve as needed (usually once a month). Nursery and special needs workers must be at least high school age. Sunday School workers must be at least middle school age. In addition, all volunteers age 18 and up must be members or pursuing membership at Four Oaks, be interviewed and trained by a staff member, and complete a national criminal background check.

Paid Childcare for Bible Studies throughout the year. In addition to caring for infants, we lead toddlers and preschool-aged children in structured discipleship activities (i.e., Bible lesson, crafts, recreation, singing, mission story, etc.). Because these activities take place during the week, workers are paid for their service. Requirements: All workers must be interviewed and trained by a staff member and complete a national criminal background check.

Community Outreach Four Oaks desires to reach our community with the Gospel, demonstrating the love of Christ in both word and deed. We provide church-sponsored service projects and establish strategic partnerships with local organizations, so that our church members can reach the lost and extend compassion and care to those in need. GOOD NEWS CLUBS Our clubs meet at DeSoto Trail Elementary (Tuesdays, 3-4:15pm) and Canopy Oaks Elementary (Thursdays, 3:15pm) schools to teach children the gospel of Jesus Christ. We trust that God will use these clubs to lead children and their families to the Lord and become connected with Four Oaks Church. Contact Andrew Ferguson on The City for more information. Volunteer Team serves weekly during the school year and fills a variety of roles, including teaching Bible lessons, mission stories, and memory verses and leading in songs, games, and prayer. Prayer Team receives periodic updates and prayer requests for the club through the

HANDYMAN TEAM As needs arise, we provide financial assistance and manual labor to care for families. Contact David Duff or Pastor Scott on The City for more information.

FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES FCA trains adult and student leaders on each campus to see their school as a mission field and partners with local churches for students to grow and be discipled. CHELSEA HOUSE Chelsea House assists homeless women with transitional housing, counseling and job assistance. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring, providing meals, leading Bible Studies, and helping with facility upkeep. OFS prays with and distributes food and clothing to at risk-individuals and families on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month from 5-7 pm at Wildwood Church. For more information, contact Scott McAnally at [email protected].

Global Outreach Four Oaks desires to see the gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed in all the world through strategic partnerships. We assess, train, mobilize, and send workers into the field and leverage resources for the development of sustainable local churches, both in the US and around the world.
