SpringHill Volunteer Opportunities Counselor-in-Training (CIT)

- Are you in high-school or college and love kids?

SpringHill places a high value on a CIT’s role at camp. CITs participate with the same group of campers each day for the entire week, building relationships and assisting the SpringHill counselors. This includes playing GWAPS (Games With A Purpose), singing songs, helping with activities and talking with kids about what they’re learning about God. Bring lots of energy because Day Camp is an amazing week filled with lots of fun! Get an information packet today! Minimum Age Requirement: 14 years old or have completed freshman year of high school

Housing Summer Staff - Want to get to know our staff?

SpringHill needs help feeding and housing our fun, kid-friendly, college-aged summer staff for the week that we are at your location. We prefer to place 3-5 staff together at each home. Host homes are a highlight of our summer, and our staff love getting to know the host home families. Check out a host packet for more information! (Note: it’s helpful if you live within 20 minutes from the church)

Monday Morning Check-In - Want a short time commitment?

On the first day of camp, we need help registering campers as quickly as possible. This is a very short time commitment but has a huge impact as it begins the camp experience for each child. Monday morning volunteers will need to help from 8:15am to 9:45am. Age Requirement: 18+ years old

Medical Volunteer - Looking to use your medical skills?

We are looking for volunteers that can provide medical attention to our campers. We’d love to have you volunteer each day of camp from 9am-4pm, but hours and days can be flexible. For emergencies, we call 911 so we just need someone willing to help with the cuts and scrapes that come with camp life. (Note: This role can sometimes be uneventful, so we recommend bringing a book to pass the time.)

Activities Helper - Wish you could be a camper?

Climbing wall, Euro-bungee, Giant’s Swing and crafts are a few of the awesome activities we need help with throughout the week. Activities helpers will assist our summer camp counselors in these specific areas. Activities run from 10:15am-4pm. Activity helpers can work all week or just a day or two when they’re available. Age Requirement: 18+ years old

Staff Meal Preparation - Want to serve during your lunch hour?

We need help feeding our SpringHill staff, counselors-in-training and volunteers. The commitment is from 10:15am-1pm each day of camp with lunch being served at 11:30am. Helpers can work all week or just the days they’re free.

Host a Staff Gathering - Like to Throw Parties?

On Tuesday and Thursday, the SpringHill Day Camp summer staff gathers for worship, dinner* and fun. We need people that are willing to feed our team and let us use their big backyards (or living space) for gathering. Our staff members are fun-loving college students so they always appreciate places that have pools, lawn games or indoor game rooms. The gatherings usually last from 6pm-9:30pm. *SpringHill is willing to help with funds for food if needed.
