News 15th Conference on Vacuum Mi crobalance Techniques Boston. Nov. 8-11. T h e conference will be held as part of the national symposium of the American Vacuum Society. Papers are solicited in all as pects of microbalance techniques. Of particular interest are papers con cerning catalysis, chemisorption, reac tions at surfaces, condensation and physical adsorption. Other typical subject areas include microbalance ap paratus and ancillary equipment and applications in the physical and chem ical sciences. Abstracts (150 words) should be sent before July 8,1977, to W. Bottoms, Varian Associates, 611 Hansen Way, Palo Alto, Calif. 94303. T h e proceedings of the conference will be published in the Jan./Feb. 1978 issue of the Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology. Abstract forms are available from W. Bottoms.

You don't have t o be in t h e picture f o r serial titrations· Let Mettler automate t h e Job· Do you have a large sample series to titrate? The Mettler DV/DK/ST System will handle the job for you automatically. Even overnight. Before the end of the work day, you select the desired titration program, set a few switches and leave. The next morning, all your samples are titrated, their content is calculated and neatly printed out. Because a desktop calculator as well as a Mettler balance is part of the system. A new series of samples can now be loaded on the transport system which is expandable to a capacity of up to 96 beakers. Start your program and use the time you gain for other tasks. Without supervision, the system predispenses one or several times, waits for the required period, then performs simple titrations, reverse titrations or even multicomponent determinations (up to 3) in a single run. For our new titration brochure, circle reader service number, or write Mettler Instrument Corporation, Box 100, Princeton, NJ 08540.
