Sizing Guidelines For Avigilon Appearance Search™ Technology Using Avigilon NVRs AVIGILON APPEARANCE SEARCH SITE ENVIRONMENT To use Avigilon Appearance Search technology with Avigilon Control Center™ Enterprise edition software: • Connect Avigilon Appearance Search enabled cameras to Avigilon’s latest generation network video recorder, or a previous generation network video recorder with the Avigilon Analytics Kit installed. • Connect non-analytics cameras to any network video recorder running ACC™ Enterprise edition software and associate them with an Avigilon Artificial Intelligence (AI) Appliance in the same site. Avigilon Appearance Search initiated from recorded video or by physical description

By default, ACC software will include all Avigilon Appearance Search enabled cameras from the ACC site in a search query. It is possible to select a subset of the cameras using the ‘advanced’ search option or by modifying the original search query.

The actual number of Avigilon Appearance Search enabled cameras that can be supported on a given NVR depends on: •

the NVR model

•

the Analytics Kit model (if applicable)

•

the number of objects being detected and classified by the Avigilon cameras with self-learning analytics

•

whether the cameras are set to indoor or outdoor analytics mode.

** Requires ACC Software, Release 6.12 or later.

The ranges above assume that, on average, each camera detects and classifies no more than one object leaving its field of view every two seconds. The use of outdoor analytics mode on any of the cameras requires more processing than cameras set to indoor mode only. Consult the Avigilon AI Appliance product datasheet for guidance on the number of cameras associated with an AI appliance that can be enabled with Avigilon Appearance Search technology.
