Let's talk Christmas! Spend some time talking about some favorite Christmas meals, traditions or songs. What about Christmas brings you joy? BIBLE PASSAGE Luke 2:10-11

QUESTIONS TO DISCUSS THE BIBLE VERSE In Luke 2 we meet a group of Angels making known the good news of Jesus birth and they say that this news will cause joy for all people. In our new teaching series, God With Us, we are trying to answer the question, why is it good news that God is with us? This week we are talking about joy. So, lets dive into the joy that comes when God is with us. Spend some time trying to define joy. What is it? Where does it come from? Is joy a feeling, a decision, or both? Explain. Why would the Angels in Luke 2 proclaim Jesus' birth as good news that will bring great joy? Can our joy come from Jesus? Why or why not? How do you find joy in difficult situations or seasons? When the shepherds heard the news about Jesus their response was to go find Jesus. What can we learn from their response?
