Small group questions Scott Parker May 26, 2013 – 0021

Heavenly Father, I am about to open your Word. As I approach the scriptures, I believe that you have something personal and intimate to say to me. Please clear my mind of distractions and help me to focus. May the gentle whisper of your Holy Spirit instruct me as I mine for the riches found in your Word. Amen

The Gospel in ________________________________________________________________________________________ “These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God. ‘Then they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive in every way.’” Titus 2:4-5a ( NLT) “...to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God. “Then they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive in every way.” Titus 2:5b ( NLT) The Gospel in the _________________________________________________________________________________ “For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. In what relationship are you currently, actively teaching or being taught in the faith? 6. Why do you think Paul places such emphasis on self control? 7. How does our new lifestyle in Christ relate to his death (v. 14)? How does it make the gospel more attractive (v. 9-10)? 8. Have someone read Ephesians 5:21-25. How does this relate to Titus chapter 2? 9. What application from Pastor Scott’s Sunday teaching most affected you and why? 10. Read Titus 2:11-12 again. What’s the connection between grace and living godly lives? 11. What characteristic in Titus 2 would you like to see increased in your life? 12.
