DESCRIPTION The Social Media Specialist is responsible for assisting in the establishment of a dynamic NewTek presence across various social media platforms. As Social Media Specialist, you will participate in the development of the strategy to present the NewTek culture, product story and end user experience, and execute the plan through social media, blogs, video, press outlets and more. RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare new content for social media as directed. • Adapt Event page information for social media posts to promote NewTek and Channel Partner events (https://www.newtek.com/newsroom/events/), and schedule those posts via Buffer • Schedule prepared social media content per guidelines, via Buffer, and monitor to ensure that scheduled posts go up as scheduled. This will include: o Use the Social Media Content Bank to schedule re-usable content o Use project content documents to schedule new content as provided for product launches, tradeshow support, live-streamed events and webcasts o Monitor the Contributions tab in Buffer to approve social media posts submitted by NewTek EMEA and NewTek LATAM to support their social media efforts • Monitor communications on social media directed toward NewTek publicly or privately, respond per guidelines, refer communications to supervisors or to other departments where needed. Ensure that response to all communications is timely and that public communications clearly demonstrate quick follow up and concern for the customer or potential customer. • Monitor social media for content to retweet or reshare, per provided guidelines and your judgment; consult with supervisor where needed. Identify potential story material for the content production team (customer stories or tips and tricks for the blogs) and refer. In progress on the above: identify stories that we may wish to curate into the blog and bring those to the attention of content production team/supervisor. Monitor social media for image and video content from our product users to acquire for NewTek use. Work with content owners to obtain permissions for NewTek via the Content Release form. Participate in social media support for streaming events: o Live events such as Broadcast Minds: in real time during the event, grab images and quotes to tweet to the designated hashtag chat. o Pre-recorded webcasts: Review final edit of event, grab images and quotes to tweet to the designated hashtag chat, and in real time during the event, tweet those out live. Prepare weekly report on social media activity and performance per management specifications. This includes getting week-over-week and year-over-year comparison data as provided by the services. Other tasks as assigned by the Senior Manage of Communications or the Director of Public Relations. o

REQUIREMENTS • College or vocational training in Marketing or Communications • Computer experience with common office applications and the Internet • Ability to write effectively and concisely for internal and external audiences • Time management and organization, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet aggressive deadlines • Team player with the ability to build positive, collaborative relationships • Self-starter demonstrating ownership and accountability, with the ability to act independently while supporting organizational goals • Knowledge and experience of video production would be beneficial, especially knowledge and experience of production with NewTek production systems including TriCaster and 3Play • Video editing experience a plus Contact Name: Scott Carroll Email: [email protected]
