Speakers Magnus Lindkvist, Futurologist Guest Speaker: Closing Keynote One of the world's most sought after speakers on trends and future-thinking, Magnus is a graduate of Stockholm School of Economics, he has an MSc in Business and Economics. He is also a graduate of the UCLA School of Film, Television and Theatre and has made a career out of fusing the measurability and tangibility of the business world with the imaginative storytelling of Hollywood. He founded his company Pattern Recognition in 2005 to help companies make sense (and money) out of the future. In 2008, he created the world's first academically accredited course in Trendspotting and Future Thinking at Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship. Magnus is a member of the renowned conference TED (technology, entertainment and design), a congregation and yearly seminar in California featuring some of the world's foremost innovators, scientists, thinkers and artists among its members.

Mats-Olov Eriksson, Head of Data Warehousing, King Guest Speaker: Morning Keynote M-O Eriksson has worked with data and analytics in various contexts; from telecom to finance to online gaming. Mr Eriksson currently heads up the data warehouse at King (the company behind the top FaceBook game – Candy Crush) and is responsible for transporting, storing and processing the vast amounts of data gathered from extensive tracking. M-O loves to build grand data architectures and to see them in action.

QlikTech Donald Farmer, QlikView Evangelist QlikView Speaker: Morning Keynote Donald Farmer is the QlikView Product Advocate, working with customers and partners to establish QlikView as the leading solution for Business Discovery. Donald has over twenty years’ experience in analytics and data management. In that time he has worked as a consultant, in startups and as a leader of Microsoft’s BI product teams. He is a speaker at many international events on business intelligence, data integration and data management, blogger, and author of several books. In addition to his career in Business Intelligence, Donald has worked in fields as diverse as fish-farming and archaeology in Scotland. He is also a guest professor at SouthWestern University in Chongqing, China, and advises on several academic boards. He lives near Seattle in an experimental woodland house, with his wife Alison, an artist.

QlikTech Patrik Lundblad, Visualization Advocate QlikTech Speaker: Afternoon Breakout Patrik Lundblad is a Visualization Advocate at QlikTech, and holds a PhD in visualization and interaction from Linköping University. Patrik joins QlikTech from NComVA, a Swedish company specializing in advanced visualization technology recently acquired by QlikTech. NComVA AB began as an advanced visualization think tank within the National Center for Visual Analytics (NCVA), a respected European research visualization laboratory. NComVA has delivered its solutions to approximately 100 government, educational and commercial organizations around the world, including The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union and leading provider of high quality statistics in Europe. As one of the founders of NComVA, Patrik’s role has been to make sure that NComVA stays at the front in technical expertise and development of statistics visualization.

QlikTech Sean Farrington, MD UK & Ireland and Regional Vice President for Northern Europe Host: Welcome Sean has been MD UK & Ireland and Regional Vice President for Northern Europe for QlikTech since July 2009. He has over 15 years’ experience in the business software industry, 10 of those are within Business intelligence. Prior to QlikTech, Sean was Regional Vice President and General Manager, UK, Ireland and South Africa for SAP® Business Objects. He also lived and worked in Stockholm for four years whilst being responsible for Business Objects' Nordic operations. During his tenure, he doubled the company’s revenue to approximately €30M per annum. He also achieved targets between 2004 and 2007, ranging from 105% in 2004 to 132% in 2007. Before Business Objects, Sean worked at Crystal Decisions and Rockwell's eCommerce division, and spent 14 years serving as a Commissioned Officer in the British Army. As well as being a trained helicopter pilot, Sean also holds qualifications in Computer Science, Ammunition Technology and Logistics.

Neil Crespin, Host Compere Neil trained as a journalist and producer in commercial radio and now owns a successful marketing & creative agency. He brings a thorough understanding of business needs gained from working in both marketing and PR. Neil is an experienced presenter and business coach and has facilitated for a large number of blue-chip clients, including HSBC, Dixons, Barclays and M&S. He is comfortable with business like precision presenting as he is with informal, ad-libbed hosting. His skill in writing humour enables him to introduce a smile to events, as and when appropriate, and importantly makes engaging with the audience his most important attribute.
