UNCF New York 5K Walk/Run for Education Saturday, September 10, 2016 Roosevelt Island, New York, NY Overview The UNCF New York 5K Walk/Run for Education is a broad-based community fundraising event in which individuals can recruit co-workers, family members and friends; and corporations and organizations can sponsor, underwrite and create teams to raise much needed funds for UNCF. Everyone who believes that “A mind is a terrible thing to waste” ® should join us to invest in better futures for our young people.

Schedule of Activities 7:00 a.m. Check-In and Registration Begins 8:30 a.m. Program 8:45 a.m. Zumba Warm-up 9:00 a.m. Race Begins / 9:05 a.m. Walk Begins (Awards Ceremony to Follow, with Music, Food, Fun and Games)

DJ and Music Activities for Children Race Awards and Group Fundraising Prizes Physical and Mental Health Awareness Health Screenings College, Financial Aid and Scholarship Info.
