TDC Winter/Spring 2016 Small Groups
Small groups are the heart of our church community — we are a church of small groups rather than simply a church with small groups. Small groups are basically gatherings of 515 people, typically meeting every week for 12 hours in someone's home, where folks spend time studying the Bible, sharing life together, praying for one another, and finding ways to serve our community. Don't worry if you've never been to a small group before! You won't be put on the spot and asked to (1) pray out loud, (2) read out loud, or (3) answer theological questions. Everyone is at a different place in their spiritual journey and together we are learning what it looks like to be more like Jesus. We have small groups that meet throughout the city, in Maryland, and in Virginia. We encourage you to find a group that is located near where you live or work, or that reflects your current life stage or special interest. To join a group or learn more, contact the leader of the group directly. Winter/Spring groups begin the week of January 17th, but you can join a group at any point, as long as they have room. If you need guidance or have questions about faith or your own spiritual journey, email our Discipleship Pastor, Amy Graham. [
