SIBT is based on the campus of Macquarie University and offers a wide range of pathway programs to the University. Reporting to the Student Administration Director, the successful candidate will provide high quality administrative support to staff and current students. Key focus of this role involves the planning and coordination of operational and administrative functions. Responsibilities include supervising up to 3 Student Administration Officers, overseeing orientation, enrolment, examinations, and graduation. In addition, the role will be responsible for student records, DEEWR, DIBP student reporting, student evaluations and reception. Essential • Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree, or completion of a diploma in conjunction with relevant work experience in an administrative role. • Well-developed administration skills that include problem solving, analytical skills and a high level of accuracy. • Demonstrated ability to interpret, communicate and assist in the review of policies and to improve procedures and processes. • Excellent interpersonal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with wide crosssection of clients from the academic and administrative elements. • Organisational skills that allow the appointee to co-ordinate and prioritise workloads. • Demonstrated high level computer literacy including email (Outlook), word processing (Word), spread sheeting (Excel) and database systems. Desirable • Previous experience in a higher education environment. • Previous experience in supervising a small team. What we offer The remuneration range for the position is $82,500 to $89,450 (inclusive of super), in addition to an attractive benefits offering. The remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate. Overview and Objectives of the Position:

The Student Administration Coordinator is responsible for providing high quality administrative support to staff and current students at SIBT. The position is broad in scope and will focus on working closely with the Student Administration Director and key contacts at SIBT to plan and coordinate operational and administrative functions. The role supervises up to 3 Student Admin Officers. The position requires initiative to oversee functions and tasks involved in student activities and administrative services, with particular reference to orientation, enrolment, examinations, completion and graduation, transition to Macquarie University and graduation ceremonies. The role will also be responsible for the activities include those associated with student records, DEEWR and DIBP student reporting, student evaluations and reception.

Key Result Areas:

1. Provide effective leadership of a client service and administration team at SIBT; incorporating performance management. 2. Manage the provision of high quality, efficient and effective service delivery to students and staff. 3. Coordinate all administration functions associated with orientation and enrolments. 4. Coordinate general office management. 5. Manage all functions associated with mid-semester, deferred, final and supplementary examinations including: appointment, training and supervision of Examination Invigilators; timetabling; venue management; production of examination materials, papers and booklets; results processing; release of results. 6. Manage all activities associated with completion, graduation and transition processes. 7. Coordinate the planning and conduct of graduation ceremonies. 8. Coordinate and undertake regular data cleansing processes and associated DEEWR and DIAC CoE reporting.

9. Coordinate and undertake student evaluations in consultation with the Student Administration Director 10. Ensure student administration filing and archiving procedures are accurately maintained. 11. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the Department and assist with the documentation of business processes. 12. Other general duties as required

4. Selection Criteria (Qualifications, Skills & Experience) Essential
