FCS / STUDENT CAMPUS PASTOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description: The Student Campus Pastor will focus on people by and providing leadership and vision for multiple different ministries on our Foothills campus. Specifically, this position will oversee small groups, all volunteers, and growing our campus ministry. Responsible To: The Lead Student Pastor

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: LEADERSHIP - Be a visible leader on Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and all campus ministry contexts. - Execute the vision of Foothills Church within the context of student ministry. - Lead our Small Group ministry in healthy growth both spiritually and numerically. - Develop a campus ministry strategy that places leaders on each campus in Blount County and is actively connecting new students to our ministry. - Provide leadership and support for all volunteers within our ministry. - Oversee our entire assimilation process. MINISTERIAL: - Preach and speak on a regular basis in a variety of contexts. - Write and assist in producing all small group curriculum. - Be actively involved in campus ministry on a weekly basis. - Attend sports games and other school functions to meet and connect with new students. - Assist in counseling students, volunteers, and families when needed. - Be willing to assist in our other family ministry environments when needed. OPERATIONAL: - Attend the weekly student ministry tactical meeting, and various creative and strategy meetings. - Assist in executing the Wednesday worship experience. - Assist in executing various events across all ministries. - Manage multiple app based processes and systems that help our ministry operate well.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND GIFTS: SPIRITUAL QUALIFICATIONS: - Loves God, families, and students. - Is a partner of FC in good standing.

Possesses the qualifications of an elder (1 Timothy 3). Maintains a consistent quiet time. Maintains an overall healthy lifestyle physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Has a servant’s heart. Sustains a positive mentality even when things are difficult. Possesses a married passion for evangelism and discipleship.

ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS: - Able to manage systems and operations digitally. - Has a high level of emotional intelligence and problem solving skills. - Possesses great interpersonal skills with adults and students. - Able to manage an app based task list, calendar, and email. - Is a “self-starter.” - Is able to perform services independently without direct supervision. - Able to create long term strategy and vision. - Able to plan 6-12 months in advanced. - Able to cast vision clearly and passionately. SPIRITUAL GIFT SETS: - Able to preach the word of God. - Highly relational. - Able to counsel biblically. - Able to contextualize to multiple different groups of students.

POSISTION DETAILS: HOURS: - Monday – 9:00AM-5:00PM - Tuesday – 9:00AM-5:00PM - Wednesday – 9:00AM-9:00PM - Thursday – 9:00AM-5:00PM - Sunday – 7:00AM-1:00PM **Please note that in student ministry we will be asked to work longer hours, go to games, and be present at other events that do not occur during traditional work hours. COMPENSATION: - Salary – Commensurate with Experience - Benefits – Full Health Insurance + Dental - Expense Account - $2,000 Per Year - Continuing Education Opportunities – To Be Determined
