Each year First Baptist Plano provides Christmas gifts for families through the Plano Children’s Clinic. Gift list cards are available today on Exchange trees located in the office lobby, outside the Great Hall and by the Weekday School (preschool area). Choose a card from a tree, and help us by only purchasing the gift listed on the card. If you would like to give more gifts, simply take additional cards from the trees. Join us on Wednesday, December 14 as we come together for dinner at 5:00 p.m. and wrapping gifts at 6:00 p.m.

We welcome Apartment Life to worship this morning! Meet Chris Custer, Vice President of Mobilization, in the crosswalk following the service today. He will join us again tonight, at 6:00 p.m. in the Great Hall, to share how First Baptist Plano can partner with Apartment Life to reach our community for Christ. Since that time, the committee has reviewed, considered, contacted, and met with each of the nominees. The Deacon Nominating Committee is recommending these six individuals for your consideration at the Business Meeting tonight (in alphabetical order): Susanne Doublin, Scott Hampton, Russ Schuler, Lynn Skuza, Jack Snipes and John Sunnucks.

Rent-A-Student - First Baptist Plano students continue to earn money for summer mission trips as well as DNOW and other mid-year activities through the Rent-AStudent program. If you have any small jobs such as raking leaves or hanging Christmas lights, please contact Jeff Howard ([email protected]) or Paul Torres ([email protected]). CHILDREN’S MINISTRY Preschool/Children’s Christmas Party, December 3 - Children will enjoy crafts, games and snacks, 9:00-11:00 a.m. Parent’s Night Out - Children (babies - 5th grade) enjoy a fun evening at First Baptist Plano (6:30-9:30 p.m.) on December 9. Print the registration form at www.fbcplano.org/children and return your form and fee to Cathy Hacker in the Children’s Ministry Office by December 4 for a cost of $10/child (max $25/ household). Late registration is available through Wednesday, December 7, at a cost of $15/child (max $25/household).

Friendship Club - Bring a friend and join us for a turkey lunch at Noon on Tuesday, November 22, in the Great Hall, and enjoy the music repertoire of Steven Braucht. Cost is $3. Make your reservation by calling the Church Office at 972-424-8551. Wednesday Bible Study in Spanish, 6:30-8:00 p.m. - Led by Joel and Mayra Santiago in B219. Children whose parents are attending the study are invited to participate in our Wednesday evening activities or attend the class with their parents. Mat-Making Ministry for the Homeless in Plano - We are collecting plastic bags in the Church Office. These bags will be used to create durable, outdoor sleeping mats. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, signup in the Church Office or contact Betty Mayo at [email protected].

Participant lists are available in the Church Office so that you can prepare individual Christmas cards for members of our HomeCare Ministry. These cards will be delivered by our ministerial staff and are a highlight for these dear friends during the holiday season. Pick up your list today and bring addressed cards to the office by Sunday, December 4.
