Student Ministry Media Policy

Purpose

Our desire is to keep students as safe as possible. We uphold the integrity of security and safety within all secured spaces by protecting students from unauthorized published media gathered from Ground Zero and Revolution environments.

Media Policy

Eagle Brook does allow authorized people to take or publish photos and videos in student ministry environments for our own social media posts, website, and printed communications. Permission from Eagle Brook staff is required for anyone who wants to take or publish photos or videos of the Ground Zero or Revolution environments to use on our sites. Eagle Brook staff, volunteers and participants in Ground Zero and Revolution are allowed at any time to take photos or videos in the environments and post them on their personal social media with the student’s knowledge and permission. Without permission, you may take photos or videos however, all media published must NOT display: • •

Recognizable faces Identifying information, such as the student’s name

With permission, the following guidelines must be used. Eagle Brook staff will determine dates that where photos or videos will be taken in Student Ministry. On those dates, students are notified of the special photo day by using the “We are Taking Photos” sign at each check-in station. Students will have the option to designate themselves as an individual who should not be photographed or filmed, by notifying a EBC staff person. The student will be given a purple lanyard to wear to indicate that they have opted out. We will take great steps to ensure the student is protected from media being captured that day.
