This role will provide highly efficient support and assistance to the campus manager of the Australian College of Applied Psychology and ensures smooth operation of the campus in a professional manner, whilst providing exemplary service to current and future students. The main focus of this position is to assist and support in the areas of operations, administration, finance, HR, WHS and marketing. The Student Services Coordinator will help to ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with the Institute's policies and procedures.

       

The ideal candidate we seek will ideally have the following Experience working in a tertiary education institution or registered training organisation Demonstrated ability to work in a small team and collaborate with a mixed-level range of stakeholders Previous experience in a project management or coordinating role Worked autonomously with high level of administration and organisational skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise competing tasks in a deadline driven environment Strong IT skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Initiative and drive, and not hesitant to challenge the status quo

Overview and Objectives of the Position:

The Brisbane Student Services Coordinator will provide highly efficient support and assistance to the Campus Manager of the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) and ensure that the Campus operates smoothly and in a professional manner. The main focus of this position is to assist and support in the areas of operations, administration, finance, HR, WHS and marketing. The Student Services Coordinator will help to ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with the Institute’s policies and procedures.

Key Result Areas:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:        

Provide general administration and support duties as set out and requested by the Campus Manager; Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external stakeholders including current and future students Improve student retention through the introduction of improved processes, procedures and innovation; Manage the campus administrative aspects of admissions, enrolment, orientation, graduation, student misconduct and all other aspects of the student cycle; Provide support in the administration of finance and human resource activities across the campus and ensure compliance with the relevant policy framework; Assist with the management of the campus facilities; Work with National Leads on the coordination of campus events such as staff meetings, open days, graduations, orientation and staff training sessions; and represent the Institute at Open Days, expos and other committees as required; Contribute to the effective service delivery, continuous improvement and quality management

   

of all campus services; Conduct all duties with the highest level of professional conduct and in accordance with the Institute’s policies and procedures; Maintain professional standards of discretion, confidentiality and privacy in respect to communication and information provided to associates and employees; Assist in maintaining the highest standard of office presentation; keep the office environment in a clean, workable and professional state and report all fault and hazards; Participate in ongoing performance review processes;

Qualifications and Selection Criteria

Essential:  Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business relationships  Previous experience in a coordinating role or project management  Well-developed administration and organisational skills including working independently  Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise competing tasks for completion on time  Demonstrated effective and high level customer relations skills  Strong IT skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable:   

Experience working in a Tertiary education institution or Registered Training Organisation A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent experience A qualification in Management
