The Role: The Studio Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the continued operation of the equipment in the SAE Institute Pty Ltd (the Institution) recording studios, film equipment, monitoring OHS, and providing support to the students during practical sessions, in their use of resources and equipment. We are currently looking for an applicant with a degree in Film Production to join our tech team. You will need to build upon your existing film knowledge as well as learn the basics of audio to be able to assist students in recording studios. The Responsibilities:



Maintenance of studios, film gear and other practical and resource facilities;



Booking of equipment and resources for staff and students



Responsibility for maintaining and updating equipment and resources databases;



Report faults with studios and equipment;



Assist in repairs and installations as required;



Monitor stock levels for cables and manufacture more where required;



Facilitate and record student studio booking, and monitor student attendance of practical sessions;



Ensure appropriate student behaviour and studio usage during practical sessions;



Keep records of equipment loans to students;



Ensure issues in relation to OH&S are assessed and monitored appropriately;



Assistance and support of students during practical sessions;



Assist with course/college enquiries;



Answer after-hours telephone enquiries;



Attend open days and marketing events as required;



Provide administrative support to college management as required;



Keep work station and surrounding areas tidy at all times;



Ensure all electronic files and documents are organised and managed appropriately;



Monitor campus security during after-hours practical sessions;



Be responsible for locking and alarming the campus on completion of after-hours practical sessions;



Attend all scheduled work times punctually;



Undertake other duties as requested by management. Qualifications & Experience:



Possess an appropriate qualification level in a related field;



Knowledge of and industry experience in a related discipline area.

Proven organisational skills;



Ability to organise, prioritise and meet deadlines;



Proficient in the use of the required hardware and software;



Familiar with using the Internet and email;

The technical officer help to ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with approved unit outlines and the relevant SAE academic policies, including but not limited to the Code of Conduct and the OHS policy. The Key Objectives of the Studio Supervisor are too; 

Ensure effective implementation of SAE Institute policies and procedures;



Enhance the quality of the educational experience for students through the maintenance of technical equipment in the SAE Institute studios;



Support and implement the strategic directions of SAE Institute;



Ensure commitment to professional excellence;
