GROW DEVELOP SUGAR LAND

Baptist Church

Our CDO program, which began in 1991, was designed to establish a ministry to preschoolers in our surrounding community by providing a place of loving care and meaningful experiences in a Christian environment. We strive to meet the individual needs of each child with an emphasis on developing self-confidence, independence, and happiness.

OUR CURRICULM CDO uses activities and materials appropriate for each level of a child’s development. Our curriculum is theme oriented, which promotes learning through play. The children work in centers on activities to learn shapes, colors, numbers, and the alphabet. Four-year-olds and older work on Kindergarten readiness activities.

ABOUT OUR DIRECTOR Jill Perez has been working with children in our CDO program for 9 years as a teacher, assistant director, and now director. Jill obtained her BS degree from Louisiana Tech University and her MA degree from Webster University. She has been a member of SLBC since 2008. She is married to Mito and they have two children.

MUSIC

ABOUT OUR CHURCH Sugar Land Baptist Church believes the Bible and our Christian faith have much to say about how we live our lives in the family in which we find ourselves. Through teaching, preaching, and ministries, we provide help for the ups and downs of family life. Life is challenging! At Sugar Land Baptist, we provide many opportunities for fellowship. You will find here a level of warmth, fellowship, and trust found only in Christ’s church.

All children attend music one day a week to develop an appreciation of music, as well as to have fun singing songs and playing musical games.
