Have fun while you are growing up! A child has only one wish: to have fun, to move and to play. As a parent you pay careful attention to how your child develops. The Little Gym can help you in this. Conceived in 1976 by Robin Wes, a trained gymnast qualified in psychology, the Little Gym method is unique. Developed specifically for children between 4 months and 12 years, the method doesn't only aim to encourage children to let off steam by running and jumping, but above all to grow, develop and learn through play. Today, no less than 300 Little Gym centres around the world are testimony to the method's success. All of our centres offer specifically designed programmes to increase your child's self-confidence, while allowing them to blossom physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially.

The Little Gym offers: Parent /Child sessions: Sensory awakening and gymnastics for 4 mths to 3 yrs olds Pre- school sessions: Development programme for 3 to 6 year olds Dance programme for 3 to 6 year olds Primary school age sessions: Development programme for 6 to 12 year olds Dance programme for 6 to 12 years olds Holiday camps « SUPER KIDS QUEST » / « SKILL THRILL » Birthday parties for 1 to 12 year olds Each member of the team trained in the Little Gym method holds a university qualifcation relating to sport, psychomotricity or child development. All of the instructors are passionate and support the children and their families with care and attention. The Little Gym: positive and non-competitive. Each child is accepted and respected for who they are and can progress at their own pace. At the Little Gym, your child will learn to be more autonomous , to listen more effectively and to tackle challenges with confidence and a smile.

SUPER KIDS QUEST 3 to 8 years olds -> everyday morning and/or afternoon Super Kids’ Quest Summer Camp is an adventure-filled 3-hour camp for children ages 38yrs. Each camp theme is based on fun, exciting missions or “Quests” that the kids are challenged to complete each day! Each day of camp involves a fun, creative storyline and music that will incorporate opportunities for the kids to exercise their muscles, their imaginations and their cooperation skills – working together to complete each Quest! We use music specifically composed for the Little Gym to help children learn while having fun. It's so much more fun to walk like a dinosaur, to pretend to be a car while running, to picture yourself riding a horse just like a prince ….

SKILL THRILL 6 to 12 years olds ->everyday afternoon only

The Little Gym’s new Skill Thrill Camps focus on a specific skill to offer the perfect combination of skill-building, fun and success! Each afternoon is filled with 3 hours gymnastic interspersed with a snack break and group games. At the end of the afternoon, children do a demonstration of what they have learned. And you will see them gain confidence and be proud of their progress. If your child hasn't met us yet, we advise you to bring him along to try a lesson so they can get used to the instructors and the gym.

2- Arrival: Between 8.15 and 9am / 12.45 and 1pm, children play freely under the supervision of one of the instructors, either in the gymnastics room or the birthday party room where they may colour or play quietly. The way a child reacts to separation from their parents may vary depending on their age, level of independence, and how sensitive they are. If you feel your child may be anxious or may have any other specific needs, don't hesitate to let us know or to mention it on the enrolment form. We will do our utmost to ensure the beginning of the holiday camp goes smoothly. If it reassures your child, and with the agreement of the instructor in charge of the camp, you may wait in the parents area during the first part of the activities. Children who arrive after 9am or 1pm can always take part in the camp. However, we would recommend arriving by the time the activities begin (9am in the morning and 1pm in the afternoon) so that your child feels as integrated as possible.

3- What your child needs: Please ensure that your child brings the following items : ⁃ A named bag with a change of clothes ⁃ a beaker with your child's name on it ⁃ a pair of slippers (with your child's name) to wear during the creative activities and at mealtimes in the party room. When you arrive, your child may select a 'pidgeon hole' where he can leave their bag. If you have brought a packed lunch, please give this to one of the instructeurs in a named bag for safe-keeping in the fridge. If they would like, your chld may bring a small object or a costume connected to the theme of the week. Please make sure to write their name on it and to inform the instructor when you arrive. 4- The activities

SUPER KIDS QUEST for 3 to 8 years olds Each half-day of the camp begins with a welcoming circle where each child says their name to feel a part of the group and the instructor then explains the theme. It's a perfect moment to feel accepted and confident within a group. The warm-up and group activity which follows, using prepared Little Gym music, develops the children's physical strength, listening skills and concentration to be able to understand and reproduce different motor skills. We also use equipment such as balls, parachutes, an air track, hoops, scarves, wooden sticks …. all to promote hand-eye or feet-eye coordination, fine motor skills, agility, and whole body coordination for every day life. Afterwards the children are divided into groups and are led by their instructors tothe gym apparatus: floor, mats, bars and beams. Our obstacle courses help them to learn the sequence of movements and in particular to develop their menory. Our method allows the children to make physical progress and to gain self-esteem through their improving confidence. They also learn that if at the first try they do not manage, they can persevere and try again. Creative activities : Each half-day your child will have the opportunity to make an object, a drawing, a painting, or wall collage all connected to the week's theme. Depending on their age, we help your child with their work. The older children may also help the younger ones if they like. At the end of the half-day, we bring all the children togther to congratulate them on their achievements and discuss the adventures they have had togther. All of the activities are linked to the week's theme. Through our method, the children follow us into an imaginary world: they learn while they are having fun!

SKILL THRILL for 6 to 12 years olds Each half-day of the camp begins with an opening circle where each child says their name to feel a part of the group and the instructor then explains the theme. It's a perfect moment to feel accepted and confident within a group. Each child decides with the instructor his goal for the afternoon according to his level. During the 3 hours gymnastic, the « Skill Thrill » group alternates between Warm ups, group games and specifics exercices depending their own goal. They develop the physical strength, listening skills and concentration to progress according to their own goal. We focus on the child’s gymnastics skills progress but also to his sefl-confidence and selfesteem. Gymnastics activities are interspersed with a snack break. At the end of the afternoon, children do a demonstration of what they have learned. And you will see them gain confidence and be proud of their progress. They are proud to share their progress with you. For parents who can not come at 4pm for this presentation, we can film your child and send the video by email. Please specify it to the instructor at the beginning of the camp.

5- Meals : Lunchtime takes place between 1 and 2pm: You have two options: ⁃ either to reserve (at least one week in advance) a balanced meal at the cost of €5: this consists of a starter (eg. a tomato or carrot salad, a soup …); a main course of meat or fish with carbohydrate (rice, pasta, potato) and vegetables; and a dessert (fruit salad, dairy or ice-cream). ⁃ Or, to bring a packed lunch which we will keep fresh in the fridge. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided and (with the exception of children who have allergies), we ask you not to give anything extra to your child (unless your child will be staying for the garderie). Snacks are usually fresh fruit, a dairy product or biscuits made for children. If you child has an allergy, please inform the instructor and note it in detail on the enrolment form. Before each meal, the children are asked to quieten down and to wash their hands. Meals are eaten in the brthday party room. We will never oblige your child to finish everything, but they will always be asked to try what is on their plate. If your child has not eaten much, the instructor will make a note and inform you when you collect them. We also help the smallest children with eating their meals. Mealtimes are also an opportunity to learn: washing hands before and after the meal, staying sitting down, learning to say thank you, waiting your turn, being calm, learning independence, talking quietly with your neghbours etc. 6- In need of quiet time ? If your child needs to rest or to do a quiet activity, they can take time to look at a book which is about the week's theme. If your child sometimes wants to be alone because they feel overwhelmed by a group of new friends and they are finding it difficult to mix, we will ask them to stay in the room and simply to watch the activity. They will be able to rejoin the group when they feel ready. 7- At the end of the day (or half-day) of camp An instructor will explain how the day has been. You can also find details about each halfday's activities on the information board. We do not invoice the welcome times between 8.15 and 9am and between 12 and 1pm. You need to reserve your child's place for the garderie between 4.15 and 6pm when you book the camp. The fee is €10. During the time of garderie, your child will have access to board games, books, colouring, under the supervision of an instructor. On some days, the garderie may take place at ZigZag which is located just next to our centre. In this case, we will inform you in the morning that you can collect your child between 4.15 and 6pm at ZigZag. 8-Clothing Your child should be dressed comfortably so that he can move safely in the gymnastics room: no long dresses or long trousers. If you child comes in a costume, please also provide suitable gymnastics clothes. For safety reasons, please tie back long hair. The children go with bare-feet in the gymnastics room to avoid slipping but also to benefit fully from feeling the movements of the arch of the foot. Our gymnastics room is equipped with air-conditioning which we only resort to using to keep the children comfortable, whilst taking care not to expose them to big changes in temperature. Please ensure your child's name is on each item of their clothing. We are not liable for the loss of any clothes, shoes or other possessions belonging o your child.
