Campers must be the correct age by camp date or completed the correct grade by June 2018. Cancellation of a camp will be determined by the camp director and will result in a full refund. Cancellation Policy: Refunds minus a $30.00 fee are available with notice at least one week prior to the camp start date. Within a week of camp no refunds will be issued.

Are you ready to get out of town and have a week to remember at Camp Dayspring? Activities Include: archery, swimming, B-B’s, Bible study, singing, crafts, sno-cones, sports, team games, inflatables and more. Two campers requesting to be with each other will be honored. We will do our best to honor other requests. A certified lifeguard will be on site each day. Lunch and drink will be provided each day. T-shirt included. Camp “GO”

Cross Cheer Cheerleading Camps

This camp is all about fun in the Metroplex. Each day we will “GO” somewhere new and also have tons of fun at PCBC. Planned destinations include: Bowling, Jump Street, Roller Skating, Arlington Stadium home of the Texas Rangers and Obstacle Warriors (3rd–6th graders). There will also be a variety of other fun stuff each day including gameroom games, gym activities and more. T-shirt included.

Each Cross Cheer cheerleading camp provides a chance for girls to learn cheerleading in a fun, Christ-centered atmosphere. Camp Activities include cheers, games, stunts, motions, jumps, dance and tumbling. Tuition includes t-shirt and craft. Look forward to a performance at the end of camp!

Cooking Camps #1 Cooking Camp - Around the World Tour (Aug 6–10, 10 am–12 pm) Get ready to stamp your passport as we travel the world of food! Campers will learn to follow recipes, measure, chop, and participate in preparing dishes as they learn about cultures around the globe. Each day includes a devotional and will end with a sampling the day’s treats. At the end of week, campers will be sent home with a cookbook, friendship bread, (with instructions) and an apron designed by them. #2 Cooking Camp - Delightful Desserts (Aug 6–10, 1:00pm–3:00pm) This camp is sure to please dessert fans! Students will learn to prepare familiar favorites and be introduced to new, easy-to-follow recipes. We will work in small groups and learn to use a variety of kitchen tools safely. Each day includes a devotional and a tasting of the desserts we prepared. All campers will take home a cookbook of the recipes as well as a chef’s hat designed by them at the end of the week. #3 Cooking Camp - Rise and Shine (Aug 13–17 10:00am–12:00pm) In this camp we will create a variety of tasty breakfast dishes sure to please even those who are not morning people! We will use easy to follow recipes to help the campers learn basic cooking skills, work with others, and have fun tasting their creations. We will also do a daily devotional on the fruits of the spirit. Campers will take home a cookbook with the week’s recipes and my favorite kitchen utensil. #4 Cooking Camp - Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Feast (Aug 13–17, 1 pm–3 pm) (3rd–6th grade) Bringing the fun and magic of Harry Potter to the kitchen! Campers will work in groups following recipes and using their cooking skills to learn about British cuisine and to prepare the annual Hogwarts feast. Each day features a devotional and a special time to sample the days treats. Campers will take home a cookbook with the week’s recipes as well as an apron. Dancing Angels Dance Camps Join us for one or more weeks of dance, praise & fellowship! All camps include daily devotionals, scripture verse cheers, a special routine and a recital for family and friends. An optional extra hour with a Tea Party is offered each week for both morning and afternoon camps. Ballet: From plies to tendus and everything in between, dancers will also learn how to dance for the glory of God. Come shine from the inside out as we tiptoe our hears for Jesus. Jazz/Hip-Hop: Welcome to the coolest camp in town! From Jazz to Hip-Hop, dancers will learn funky moves that are both fun and honoring to the Lord. Come jam in this high-energy camp where it’s all about the joy of dancing. Frozen: Back by popular demand, we’re headed to the land of snow where it’s frozen forever! Dancers will learn a variety of dance styles including ballet and also valuable lessons in freedom, redemption and sacrificial love. The Greatest Showman Camp: Come one, come all to the greatest camp in town. Step right up and dance your heart for the Greatest Showman...Jesus. Campers will learn a variety of jazz dances that are guaranteed to amaze, delight and transform. Age: Campers must be correct age by first day of camp. Dancing Angels Tea Party

This week will be filled with crafts, creations and concoctions that will appeal to the inner crafter in all kids! Campers will learn to make fun creations and scientific concoctions out of ordinary, everyday items. Your child will bring home several fun projects at the end of the week.

Each week offers an optional “extra hour” devoted to a special Tea Party that every little girl will love! Tuesday Tea Party includes: sandwiches, carrots, fruit, pink lemonade tea and a yummy cupcake. A short “Angelina the Ballerina” video may be shown.

Gameroom Camp! This camp is the stuff kids’ dreams are made of. Spend 3 hours each day learning and playing new and classic games with other campers. Games will include bumper-pool, air hockey, foosball, ping pong and a variety of Wii video games. Campers will learn proper rules and techniques and also practice and compete in contests to improve their hand-eye coordination, strategy and precision in all their favorite gameroom games. Campers will receive a T-shirt. Your preschooler will have fun learning the FUNdamentals of gymnastics with bars, beam, vault, springboard, trampoline, tumbling and more! Camp will also include Bible stories, crafts, movement to music, games and other activities. On the final day of camp parents are invited to view an exhibition and see your camper presented with a medal. All campers must be pottytrained and wear shorts, t-shirts and flip flops. A snack will be provided daily. Keyboard Kids Tech Detectives Camps Computer Detectives get your magnifying glass ready and let’s solve different cases at places like Cyber Space, Network Neighborhood and Keyboard Castle! Detectives will unlock new, beneficial ways to use technology to be productive and solve meaningful problems. Important S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) skills are introduced as they learn keyboarding, technology, reading and writing. Internet safety lessons are incorporated. Lacrosse Camps This camp is designed to teach the fundamental skills and tactics of lacrosse. Each camper will receive individual and team –oriented instruction. Instruction in skill development, positional work, full-field concepts and most of all the love of the game will be the focus of this camp. Campers need to bring lacrosse equipment (stick, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, helmet) and water bottle. Multi-Sport Camp This camp’s focus is on fun as we play flag football, capture the flag, dodgeball, tag games, soccer and more. Campers will compete in a big tournament on the last day of camp. This is just the camp for your budding musician! Campers will sing, play instruments and experience musical movement. There will be a show on the final day of camp at 11:30 for parents and friends. Kick Start Soccer Camp KickStart is an indoor soccer program for preschoolers which focuses on teaching fundamentals and footwork through drills and games designed specifically for younger campers. Tennis Camps Beginners & Advanced Beginners will learn and/or improve tennis skills in very small groups. Campers will learn proper form, technique and the basics of the game. Loaner racquets are available. Discounted prices on balls & racquets are also available. Most rain make-ups will be on Fridays. Class cancellations will be notified ASAP using your email address. Students with special needs are encouraged to sign up. Specific details about each week/session will be emailed prior to that week. Camp Directors Larry Barbour is the physical education teacher at Carlisle Elementary in the Plano ISD. Coach Barbour has over 25 years of teaching physical education and 15 years of coaching experience in middle and high school most recently at Plano West Senior High School. Larry holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in health and physical education from Baylor University. He is a member and deacon at Prestonwood Baptist Church and has been involved in leading basketball camps and leagues at PCBC for the past 19 years. Coach Barbour has also been actively involved with the PCBC Upward Basketball program for the past 11 years. Anna Berry is a mom to three kids and a wife. As a member of PCBC she has taught 7th and 8th grade girls for the past three years. Anna grew up on the mission field and has a passion for serving others. She also enjoys teaching her kids how to cook by making it age appropriate and fun. We welcome Anna as one of our newest PCBC Camp Directors! Carese Bott has been a teacher for over 20 years and has taught all ages, from preschool to college. She holds a BA and MA in Speech and an MEd in English Education. She currently teaches junior high Language Arts in the Richardson ISD. She is a member of PCBC and helps teach 3rd grade Sunday School. Carese has been a part of the PCBC Summer Camp program for several years, working as the Director of Kids Kamp, Arts and Crafts Camp, and the American Girl Camps. She is also the very proud mother of two UT Longhorns. Brittany Cavender has been in the cheerleading industry for over 20 years with her most notable experiences being an SMU Mustangs cheerleader, NCA Instructor, TCA coach and Cheer Athletics nationally ranked athlete. Brittany has owned and operated Cross Cheer for over a decade and enjoys the opportunity to reach little hearts for Christ through cheerleading. This is Brittany’s seventh year to be involved with the PCBC Summer Camp program. In addition to Cross Cheer, Brittany enjoys being a wife (husband Kyle), mom to Bo & Kinsley and a boy on the way June 2018 and attending Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall. Lisa Curtiss has owned a mobile pre-school gymnastics business for over 17 years, teaching at many Dallas area church programs. Lisa is a member of PCBC and has volunteered in the nursery, VBS and 4 year old Sunday School. She is married, a mother of four. Lisa enjoyed her first Sprint Triathlon and continues to train for her next. This will be Lisa’s seventh year as our Gymnastics Camp Director. Veronica Jon Curioni has given private art instruction in the metroplex for over 20 years. When working with children she usually focuses on bright, playful works that reflect the individual personalities of each child. Veronica likes to introduce many different types of media to her young students to maximize their art experience. Veronica is married with a daughter at University of North Texas and a daughter who just graduated from University of Arkansas. Linda Harley Following a long career as Associate Conductor of the Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas, Linda Harley continues her work with children choirs at Park Cities Baptist Church. She also leads music clinics and festivals and loves her work leading summer music camps throughout the metroplex. We are excited to welcome Linda and the PCBC Music Camp to our schedule this year! Callie Heydrick Graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and was a member of the UTA softball team. While pitching for the Mavericks she earned All-Conference and Pitcher of the Year awards. Coach Heydrick currently teaches Middle School PE and coaches both MS volleyball and HS softball at Royse City ISD. This is Coach Heydrick’s third year to coach the PCBC Volleyball Camps. Callie is married to Jon and are members of Watermark Community Church. Cole Johnson is the head boys’ basketball coach and athletic director at Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco. Coach Johnson is a graduate of Greenville College in Illinois where he earned a B.S. in education and was a member of the basketball team. In his college career, he was awarded All-Conference and SLIAC conference player of the year honors. Cole has been coaching

PCBC Basketball Camps for the past 20 years along with serving in other capacities at various PCBC camps. Cole, his wife and 3 sons live in McKinney and are active members at Denton Bible Church Emy Johnson is the Physical Education teacher at Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco teaching students from 3 year olds through 8th graders. She has worked in Plano ISD teaching Middle School PE and Health and coaching volleyball and basketball. Emy played basketball for the Oklahoma State University Cowgirls. There she earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She is married to Cole Johnson and proud mom to three boys. Tammy Owens founded Dancing Angels in 1998, a children’s dance program that teaches its students to dance for the glory of God. She has been teaching dance for over 20 years and has held Dancing Angels camps and classes at PCBC for the past 16 years. Tammy lives in Dallas, attends Watermark Community Church and is the proud mom to two mini-schnauzers, Tanner and Tucker. Jay Miller As PCBC Minister to Children, Jay oversees ministry related to kids in 1st-4th grades.Jay received his BA degree in Christian Studies from Howard Payne University in 2005. He received his MA in Christian Education from Dallas Baptist University in 2008. Jay has served at churches across Texas for almost 15 years. Jay is married to Nicole and they have two sons, Corbin and Levi. Jay has a strong love for the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Baylor Bears. Sal Rivas is on staff at PCBC as the Sports Ministry Associate. Sal has over nine years of experience working in different youth camps including five summers at PCBC. Coach Sal directs, coaches & referees Upward Basketball, director of the KickStart Preschool Soccer program and Men’s Basketball League. As a member of PCBC he is active in Mission programs, the Single Adult Dept and Awana program. Sal attends the University of Texas Arlington. Brian and Jessica Simpson Brian Simpson, owner and sales contact at Triumph Sports, has worked in sports camps for 23 years and the last 13 years at PCBC. He has been a public-school teacher & coach for 10 years. While in college at Point Loma in San Diego, he interned for both the Padres (1996) and Chargers (1996–1998), majored in Business Marketing, and played one year of collegiate soccer & baseball. Jessica, owner and operator of Triumph Sports, played college volleyball at Dallas Baptist University while studying Religious Education and club volleyball at Texas A&M while obtaining her Masters in HR Mgmt. She also worked for T Bar M sports camps for 3 years. They reside in Trophy Club with their 4 kids. Micah Sudbury earned a B.S. in Education from the Arkansas State University and taught elementary school for seven years in Texarkana, TX. After moving to Dallas in 2009, Micah started Keyboard Kids, a fun STEAM class and camp. Micah and her family are members of PCBC and she has been active in teaching Keyboard Kids classes through the Sports and Recreation Ministry for the past four years. She has been married to Hal for 14 years and they have a 6 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. Betty Sue Welch has taught and coached tennis for over 48 years. She has been inducted into both the Texas Tennis Hall of Fame and the Texas Tennis Coaches Hall of Fame. Coach Welch has a B.A. from SMU in PE and speech and a M.Ed. from UT Austin in PE and Special Ed. She is a Level 1 USPTA tennis professional. Coach Welch has taught and coached all skill levels including Special Olympics, middle and high school, college and professional. She has been directing Tennis Camps at PCBC for the past 9 years. Sharon Willard has been teaching for over twenty years. She received a BFA in All Level Art from Texas Tech University. She taught elementary in RISD for several years and is currently teaching at North Park Presbyterian Day School. She is a member of PCBC and loves working with kids. Sharon is the proud mom of two girls.
