Asbury Class Led by Rita Sharpe and Helen Austin Main building, 2nd Floor, Memorial Room. The Christianity Today Study Series delves into today's vital cultural issues to get to the heart of what these topics mean to readers. "Creation Care" addresses the problem of how we as Christians can appropriately deal with the difficult topics of stewardship, the environment, global warming, and more. Couples Class Led by Bob Jacobs, Larry Johnson, and Ray Frank Meeting in the Main Building, Second Floor, Church Parlor The Wesley curriculum is the choice of Sunday school classes which value the holiness doctrinal distinctive, and the mission to evangelize and disciple generations for Christ. Over 100 years of curriculum development is combined with contemporary methods and materials to effectively disciple all ages. Wesley curriculum challenges students to be immersed in the love of God, and it encourages them to complete heart holiness, particularly through scripture memorization and practical life application. Fellowship Group Led by Frank Strakonsky Meeting in the Main Building, First Floor, John Wesley Room This group focuses on an informal gathering of adults seeking fellowship. Various current events, life events, and church topics are discussed. New Beginnings Led by participants Meeting in Education Building, Top Floor, Room 35 DVD Series “Serious Answers to Hard Questions”, explores 10 theologians confronting 10 challenges to faith. Open View Led by Greg Gray and Dan Long Meeting in the Activities Room, Lower Floor, Education Building A different study every week using FaithLink! Young Adults Led by participants Meeting in the Conference Room, Baker Center (Main Office) This group focuses on the current issues surrounding young adults in our world. Topics for discussion chosen by the group. Coffee outings, and other social activities to be scheduled by the group.

Sunday Morning Children and Youth Programs Preschool Led by Marlene Bordner, Renee Vega, and Michael Gaeta Meeting in Education Building, Second Floor, Room 22 Kindergarten and First Grade Led by Grace Dobson and Melissa Gaeta Meeting in the Education Building, Third Floor, Room 31 Second and Third Grade Led by Amy Stone and Ronda Dudley Meeting in the Education Building, Third Floor, Room 33 Fourth and Fifth Grade Led by Mary Crum and Carol Keirn Meeting in the Education Building, Third Floor, Room 36 High School Sunday School Led by Katy Mossburg Meeting in Youth Room, Lower Level Education Building Grades 7 – 12. This awesome class uses “Groove” to teach, and to support youth in Christian values and beliefs. Middle School Sunday School Led by Jennie Davy Meeting in Room G-3, Lower Level, Education Building This class uses “Teen Sunday School Place”, which engages young people in fun and interesting ways to explore and learn about Christianity. Confirmation 2017 Confirmation in the United Methodist tradition is a rite through which young Christians affirm the faith of the church, renew the vows of baptism, and commit to lives of discipleship as professing members of the United Methodist Church. Young people who have entered 7th grade, or beyond will be studying through a program called, “Credo”. Credo brings worship, Sunday school, Bible study, service, and church ministries into an interesting and memorable study for the confirmands.

Sunday Evening Opportunities for Adults Growing In Christ: Bible Basics (3 sessions) Led by Pastor Steve Meeting Sundays, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in Library on September 25th – October 9th A three-week, hands-on introduction to the Bible. Note: no previous knowledge of the Bible is required for this course. Learn how to get the most out of the Bible. Growing In Christ: Essential Beliefs (4 sessions) Led by Pastor Steve Meeting Sundays, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in Library from February 5th thru February 26th A short, practical study intended to help new (and not so new) Christians learn and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. This is a four-week exploration of some of the key beliefs we hold as Christians such as: Who is God? Who is Jesus Christ? Who is the Holy Spirit? What role does the church play in the Christian life? Growing In Christ: Holy Habits (3 sessions) Led by Pastor Steve th st Sundays, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in Library from May 7 – May 21 A new, three-week study is intended to help new (and not-so-new) Christians learn and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. The study, called “Holy Habits” is a brief exploration of some of the key practices that help us draw near to God, particularly prayer, discernment, and service.

Sunday Evening Opportunity for Youth/Children Youth Group Led by Katy Mossburg Sunday evenings from 5:30 – 7:30, Dinner at 5:30 p.m. Fun and fellowship for middle and high school-aged youth. Kids for Christ Led by Jen Pond Activities Room of the Education Building Sunday evenings (beginning on September 11th from 5:30-6:30 PM . Kids for Christ is for children in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. Children will enjoy fellowship, games, short video lessons, and other fun activities as they learn more about the AMAZING love of Jesus

Weekday Learning Opportunities Pastor’s Bible Study Led by Pastor Steve th Tuesday mornings from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. First session will meet on Tuesday, September 6 in the Library. We will be studying 2 Corinthians. Joyce Dixon’s Bible Study Led by Joyce Dixon Meeting in Main Building, Friendly Circle Room (Beginning September 20th) This Bible study meets the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesdays of the month from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. They will be studying the Overview of the New Testament. All are welcome to attend. Covenant Bible Study Led by Christy Mossburg Meeting in the Library Covenant is an in-depth group Bible Study in which participants read and discuss the Bible, and learn how to love God - and each other - better. It includes daily email readings or a mobile app, in addition to the traditional study guide. “Spiritual formation meets Bible Study with a modern twist”. Separated into 3, 8-week segments, each class is 90-minutes long. Classes will begin Wednesday, September 7th . Class will be held as a morning session (9:3011:00 am) Men’s Bible Study Meeting in John Wesley Room every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
