Sutter Health Sutter Novato Community Hospital (NCH) has served the residents of Marin County since 1961. Our mission is to enhance the health and well-being of people in the communities we serve, through a not-for-profit commitment to compassion and excellence in health care services. Our current, like-new facility was constructed in 2001 through a partnership between Sutter Health and our generous donor community. The community recognizes NCH for its orthopedic surgery program and for being one of the few California hospitals participating in a three-year Affordable Healthcare Act Bundled Payment project. In this program, the hospital is responsible for total joint patients’ care 30-days after discharge. The hospital must meet the highest quality standards and demonstrate the most efficient use of resources resulting in better outcomes for patients at a lower cost to Medicare. Our Emergency Department consistently ranks among the highest in the nation in patient customer service and treats more than 14,000 patients per year, regardless of patients’ insurance coverage or their ability to pay. NCH expanded to Central Marin in 2004 with The SutterTerra Linda Health Plaza at 4000 Civic Center Drive. It includes an outpatient Physical Therapy & Sports Fitness program, and the Kalmanovitz Child Development Center. A second outpatient Physical Therapy & Sports Fitness opened on the Novato Campus in 2008 as a complement the North Bay Regional Surgery Center – a day surgery joint venture of Sutter Health and local physicians. The Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation (SPMF) has medical offices throughout Marin County. Some of the SPMF specialties offered locally include internal medicine; pediatrics; cardiac electrophysiology; complementary and integrative medicine; endocrinology and diabetes; hepatology; maternal fetal medicine; neurology; psychiatry; pulmonary medicine; gastrointestinal, bariatric and endocrine surgery; and pediatric subspecialties including cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology and child and adolescent psychiatry.
