SPEND YOURSELF Post Session 4 Prep

First discuss destiny rescuing destiny. How can those who are impoverished help us? What do they have to offer that we don’t already have? Next review the story of the Good Samaritan. The Samaritan was an outcast in Jewish society. Who are the outcasts in America that we should be considering our neighbor? Who is marginalized and treated as a second-class citizen that we should be helping and defending? Finally, go over the Heartwork challenge with students. Help them brainstorm how to sacrifice and who to help. Finish up with the Francis Chan video about how all the things that we leave behind often were harmful to us anyway. Do the 30 Days of Heartwork!
