SPEND YOURSELF Post Session 3 Prep

The Districts are repressed, controlled, abused. This is involuntary slavery to fear, hunger, disease, injustice, and poverty. Voluntary or involuntary. Which type of enslavement is harder to escape? Why? Encourage students to think back to the discussion about what we love and hate. Now we revisit the questions of purpose, why are we here and more specifically what is our salvation for? Challenge students to not quickly jump over these questions. Help them identify how our own self-focus and the comforts of our affluence insulate and isolate us from those that we ought to be helping and loving.
