Serve (Continued) Summer of Service – On Wednesday evenings throughout the summer, we are providing different service opportunities. We encourage you join us in service as the Kingdom of God. Below are some upcoming opportunities. June 24th – leave at 6:30 p.m. from the Church. We will be encouraging our Owosso First Church of the Nazarene Shut-ins. We will go to Pleasant View and a couple other locations to briefly visit those who long to be in church, but are no longer physically able. We will read Scripture, pray, and sing hymns as a way to offer encouragement and blessing! July 1st – 6:15 at Memorial Healthcare – Please join us as we show appreciation to the Memorial Healthcare Emergency Room Staff! We will be serving a meal for the staff and praying for the staff members and over the ER. We will meet at 6:15 in the parking lot behind the cafeteria at the hospital. Blanket Material Needed – On Wednesday August 5th, we will be making fleece-tied blankets for those in need. If you have a coupon for JoAnn Fabrics, please consider picking up some fleece, or even a kit for making blankets! We need two pieces of material for each blanket (2 yards for each piece). You can bring any material to the Compassion Center (located in the foyer) prior to August 2nd. Everyone is welcome to participate!

C. Neil Strait Golf Tournament – All golfers, the 41st Annual District Golf Tournament is slated for Battle Creek’s Binder Park Golf Course on Friday, July 10 th. Binder Park is one of the finest municipal courses in the Midwest. Tee off is at 11:00 a.m. Play 18 holes with cart, with lunch included for $220 per foursome. There will also be prizes and no cost raffle and contests on the course! Michigan District Softball Tournament – District softball players, start thinking about the 40th Annual Michigan District Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament on Saturday, August 8th. Serve Bundles of Hope for NYC – For each Nazarene Youth Conference that is held, students and sponsors are given an opportunity to impact the host city though a “bring with” ministry project. For our trip in July, we are bringing “Bundles of Hope”. Baby supples are collected in local churches and then stuffed into diaper bags while on location. The completed bundles will be distributed to low-income and homeless families in the greater Louisville area. All our students, sponsors, and the entire church are invited to participate in this project to impact the people of Louisville for Christ! You can find a list of items as an insert in your Worship Folder, or you can pick one up at the Welcome Center. All supplies can be dropped off at the Compassion Center (located at main entrance).
More Opportunities Summer Camp Registration – We would like to send all of our students to camp this year, because we know it is a life changing experience! Please register at www.nazcamp.org ASAP. We have financial assistance available through Indian Lake Nazarene Camp and through our church. Please contact Pastor Chris if you need financial assistance of any kind or if you need assistance with registration, which is only available online.
