Ivrea, 09/06/2016 Subject: “Scan to Office 365” from d-Color MF3800 / MF3300

Hi Vincent, To perform the tests, I have set the MFP as described in the procedure below reported, and I confirm you that e-mail from MF3800 can be sent using "smtp.office365.com" as SMTP Server. As you can see on the procedure below the setting for d-Color MF3800 Series the procedure is a little bit different that the A3 products. Note:  The settings of the Software Switches below reported are supported from d-Color MF3800 / MF3300 having Firmware MR7 onwards. 1.

Settings in Service Mode: In Service Mode  System 2  Software Switch Setting  Change the value of the followings Software Switches: a) SW No. “296”  Change the Value of HEX to “08” (Remember to press the button “FIX” to confirm the new HEX code)

b) SW No. “252”  Change the Value of HEX to “01”

Exit from Service Mode and then turn OFF the Main Power Switch. Wait 20 seconds and then turn ON the Main Power Switch.

Settings in Administrator Mode: In Administrator Mode perform the following two settings: a) From Internet Explorer or another Browser enter the IP Address of the MFP on the Address bar, then “log in” in Administrator Mode.  Select “Security” tab  On the left side select “Limiting Access to Destination” and under “Restrict User Access” set “Registering and Changing Addresses” to “Allow” and then click on “Apply”. Exit from Administrator Mode.

Supporto Tecnico / Technical Support b) In Administrator Mode  System Settings  Restrict User Access  Restrict Access to Job Settings  Change the “From” Address  change the setting to “Admin. E-mail Address” and click on “OK” button to confirm the choice  Press 5 times the “Close” button to exit from Administrator Mode.

From Internet Explorer or another Browser enter the IP Address of the MFP on the Address bar, then “log in” in Administrator Mode.  Select “System”  “Machine Settings”  Enter the “Administrator E-Mail Address”

Supporto Tecnico / Technical Support d) From Internet Explorer or another Browser enter the IP Address of the MFP on the Address bar, then “log in” in Administrator Mode.  Select “Network” tab  On the left side select “E-mail Settings” , “E-mail TX (SMT)” settings is automatically opened   Enter the “SMTP Server Address”  Change the Port Number from “25” to “587”  As "SSL/TLS" select “Start TLS”  Verify that the Administrator E mail Address is entered correctly. (It must be set in System Settings  Machine Settings [it is better enter the E-Mail Address of the User Account used for office365])  Enter the Device E-mail Address  Enter the User Account of the Office365  Enter the PSW for the User Account of Office 365  When you finished all settings, click on “Apply” button to confirm the settings.

Select “Security” tab  On the left side select “PKI Settings  Select “Device Certificate”  Select “New Registration” to create a new Certificate to use for “Office365”

Select “Create a Self-signed Certificate” and click on “Next” button

Select “RSA-2048_SHA-256” as “Encryption Key type” and fill all other form fields, then click on “Next” button

Under “PKI Settings  Select “SSL/TLS Settings” and verify that the “SSL/TLS2 is set “Enabled”

Supporto Tecnico / Technical Support g) Under “PKI Settings  Select “Protocol Settings” and for “Email Send (SMTP) set the Certificate just created. (Click on Edit button, and then select the certificate just created for Office365, then click on Apply button) h)

Exit from Administrator Mode. After that verify if all works correctly sending an e-mail to you or another E-mail address. I hope that this can help you. Ciao Stefano
