Terms and Conditions Photography Competition 1. To be entered in to the photo competition, all photos should be entered to the competition by emailing [email protected] 2. Only one photo entry per person is permitted. If multiple photos are submitted, the best photo as deemed by British Canoeing will be entered into the competition. 3. This competition is open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man, except for employees of British Canoeing. 4. This competition is open to all ages, but any entrant under 18 years of age requires parental consent to enter the competition before submitting their entry. 5. All information detailing how to enter the competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions. 6. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit have been taken with the permission of the subject and do not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. If the image subject is a child or children who are identifiable then parental permission must be obtained. Entrants must warrant that the photograph they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it. 7. Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of their providing the Competition, each entrant grants a royalty free, worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to British Canoeing to feature any or all of the submitted images in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition. 8. Subject to prior written consent photo entries may be shared with British Canoeing commercial partners for use in their promotional materials, website and/or publications. 9. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties. 10. The winning entries will be those judged to be the most visually appealing, original and self-explanatory. The winner will be notified within fourteen days of the closing date of the competition. 11. The winner of the competition will win the prize as advertised on 18/10/2017. Second and third placed images will also win the prizes as advertised. The prizes are subject to availability.

12. The prize as described is that available on the date of publication of these terms. All prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives. 13. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof. 14. Personal data and in particular email addresses will be processed in accordance with British Canoeing Data Protection policy and for the avoidance of doubt no data will be shared without express consent of the entrants and images will only be used in accordance with these terms and conditions. 15. English law applies and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail.
