The Coral Springs Regional Chamber's Monthly Newsletter Volume: 3 Issue: 4 April 2019 VISIT OUR WEBSITE A Message From Our President Congratulations to the recipients of the 2019 Gala awards! The Night of the Stars Grand Gala presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital was a night to remember, with a record setting 255 attendees. Thanks to all of you, the Chamber was able to raise $7000 to support our future leaders from seven local high schools. The checks will be presented to the students at the Chamber’s Annual Education Recognition Breakfast presented by Broward College on April 16th. This breakfast is one of the true highlights of the year, as we will be hearing about the projects that the students have been working on for their statewide competitions. Additionally, this is a fantastic opportunity to connect with students as potential interns for your business this summer. By hiring an intern, you will shape the future for a student and I guarantee they will teach you as well! Also, I highly recommend you sign up right now for our Professional Women’s Alliance luncheon which is on Wednesday, April 3rd. In conjunction with Holocaust & Genocide

Awareness week, the PWA steering committee was able to connect with Sally Bauman, Holocaust Survivor, and she has agreed to be our guest speaker. As the survivors of the Holocaust age, this may be your once in a lifetime opportunity to meet a survivor. It is imperative that we never forget and learn from one of the most horrific times in history. I want to congratulate and welcome our new mayor, Scott Brook. We look forward to working with Mayor Brook in continuing to make Coral Springs an outstanding and business friendly city.

Our next special election is on June 18 , as Commissioner Dan Daley is going on to represent us in Tallahassee as our State House representative. I want to thank Commissioner Daley for his many years of service. He has been a good friend personally as well as to the Chamber and I know he will be a great voice for us at the state level.
