Series: The Four Cups Of Passover Message: Part 3, The Cup Of Redemption (Saturday, April 16th)

Introduction: As we see with the children of Israel in Egypt, God was not only interested in saving them and delivering them from slavery, but he also had a plan for them. He wanted to redeem their past suffering and painful struggles by turning them into something that could make the people stronger, wiser, and more focused on their relationships with him….God promises are the same for us today.

Read: Exodus 6:6-7; Luke 22:14-16, 19-20, Romans 8:11 Discussion Questions: 1. God has a personal redemption story for everyone, but not everyone takes hold of it. What are some issues that cause us to block His efforts to redeem us? 2. What areas of your life need healing in order for you to experience restoration? Do you have a sense of how that healing can help you understand God’s purpose and plan for you? 3. In Exodus 6:6, God makes a promise that He will redeem us with an outstretched arm and through great judgements, meaning He will move with compassion and strength on our behalf to bring about redemption in our lives. What instances has God has moved in a powerful way on your behalf? How did His action change your life? 4. In light of Luke 22:19-20, what does drinking from the Cup of Redemption mean to you? What does living a restored life look like? 5. Experiencing God’s promise of redemption is something we have to choose to participate in; in order to do this we must view our lives through the filter of His death and resurrection. What steps can we take this week to help us live our lives this way?

Moving Forward: God’s not just offering us a story, He’s offering us to experience a restoration that will make us stronger, wiser, and more focused. It’s what enables us to move forward, to go ahead in confidence that He has redeemed us. So drink the cup of redemption, let God restore you!

Change Your Mind: (Jeremiah 32:17) “Ah, my Lord Adonai! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm—nothing is too hard for You!
