THE DOLLS’ HOUSE COLLECTION OF WINE AND SPIRITS Berry Bros. & Rudd ‘The Dolls’ House Collection’ is a case of 12 exquisite wines and spirits curated in recognition of the original Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and more importantly to celebrate the Queen’s Coronation. The Collection, which is on sale at £30,000, takes its inspiration from the miniature bottles sourced by th

Berry Bros. & Rudd in the early 20 century for the famous Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, which now sits on proudly on display in Windsor Castle. Replicas of a selection of the miniature bottles are on display in the historic Berry Bros. & Rudd shop on St James’s, London and will be available to view at The Coronation Festival taking place in The Buckingham Palace Gardens this July.

Built for Queen Mary between 1921 and 1924 by leading architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, 1,200 miniatures of wines, spirits and beer made up the fully stocked cellar. The idea was that the cellar should comprise of genuine samples of the best wines of the day. It included 1906 Veuve Clicquot, 1911 Louis Roederer, 1875 Ch. Lafite, 1888 Ch. Haut Brion, 1899 Ch. Margaux, 1878 Cockburn’s, 1896 Taylor’s, 1889 Montrachet, 1904 Romanée, 1874 Ch. d’Yquem and 1854 Grande Fine Champagne Cognac.

Simon Berry, Chairman of Berry Bros. & Rudd and current Clerk of the Royal Cellars, says of The Dolls House Collection, ‘It was a great honour for my grandfather to be asked to select and prepare the Queen Mary Dolls House cellar. Today’s Collection brings together more recent vintages of 12 of the wines and spirits originally included to create a one off case that will demonstrate how only finest was selected for Queen Mary.

The Coronation Festival, hosted by the Royal Warrant Holders Association, will take place this th

weekend 11-14 July in the Gardens of Buckingham Palace to celebrate the 60 anniversary of The Queen’s Coronation. Berry Bros. & Rudd holds two warrants for H.M. The Queen and H.R.H.
