The Episcopal Diocese of Texas Position Description Temporary Administrative Assistant 15hr/week Reports to: Administrator for the Iona School Ministry FLSA Status: non-exempt Position Summary The Episcopal Diocese of Texas seeks a Temporary Administrative Assistant reporting to the Administrator for the Iona School for Ministry. This part-time role will provide administrative support to the Iona School Ministry team and Clergy Conference support as well as perform various administrative duties to keep the department running smoothly. Primary Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the Ministry for Iona school and Clergy Conference Send and receive paper correspondence. Serve as logistics assistant for the annual clergy conference Assist in design and distributions of informational literature Prepare and maintain electronic files, records, and documents. Provide substitute front Desk coverage on occasion Assist with other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and a vision for how providing administrative support to diocesan staff enhances the work of God’s Kingdom. Work well with the rest of the diocesan staff. Ability to learn, adapt and respond in a fast-paced environment that shifts priority Personable and professional in person, on phone, and online. Mental Agility and skilled at multi-tasking in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Competent in protocols for professional communications. Have strong organizational and administrative skills; highly attentive to detail. Meet deadlines with consistency. Capacity to wrestle with complexity and to strategically navigate ambiguous situations with integrity, professionalism, and emotional intelligence. Education and Experience High School diploma required; Associate degree preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office. At least two years of experience working in administrative support or similar field.
