The Episcopal Diocese of Texas Position Description Business Office Manager Department: Finance Reports to: Chief Financial Officer FLSA Status: Exempt The Business Office Manager for the Diocese of Texas, oversees the day to day operations of the Diocesan offices and their physical plant. The candidate hired into this role will work closely with the CFO, Finance Leadership Team, and Ministry Staff to implement the Vision of the Diocese of Texas. Responsibilities: � Provides Facility Management for Houston and Austin Offices including coordinating building facilities projects, monitoring and managing HVAC and security systems and facilitating all interior and exterior building maintenance. � Works with churches and management to assist in property tax and other governmental issues with direction from Executive Team. � Establishes a cost-effective procurement program that will assure reasonable pricing for goods and services needed in building operations. � Serves as liaison to the Christ Church Cathedral facilities staff and coordinates Diocesan support requests. � Maintains adequate inventories of office and hospitality supplies. � Provides knowledge and experience of broad-range of church business support activities. � Assists in the management/scheduling of the front desk reception area and provides other administrative support as needed. � Performs other duties as assigned. � Develops healthy, positive relationships with diocesan staff. Qualifications: � 5 or more years of direct experience in facility management. � 4-year degree in related area preferred. � Strong written and oral communication skills. � Exceptional organizational and administrative skills. � Commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord, and vision of his or her work in the service of God. � Embodiment the Diocesan Staff Core Values: Professionalism, Joy, Bridge-building, Humility, Integrity, Creativity.
