Pray for the generous response to a call from God to a vocation to the priesthood and the consecrated life. LADIES OF CHARITY The Ladies of Charity are inviting ladies of the parish to join in the celebration of their 400th anniversary. The Ladies of Charity were the first members of the Vincentian Family founded by St. Vincent de Paul in 1617. The Ladies of Charity minister to those less fortunate by sharing their talents and time with others. Join the Ladies of Charity in this memorable year to serve those less fortunate with hospitality and charity. NEW MISCARRIAGE SECTIONS AT CATHOLIC CEMETERIES Nearly one in four women experience an early pregnancy loss in her lifetime. No matter how early the loss, many Catholic couples long to name, inter, and remember their baby as a member of the family. For more information on the new Miscarried Baby Sections at Catholic Cemeteries, contact your parish priest, or the manager at Gate of Heaven Cemetery (13801 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD; 301-871 -6500); or All Souls Cemetery (11401 Brink Rd., Germantown, MD; 301-428-1995).

SECOND COLLECTION: T RINITY DOME The second collection this weekend, May 13/14, is a onetime national collection to support the completion of the Trinity Dome at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. When we trace the cross on our body, “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” we are actually making a concise summary of our Catholic faith. In the new Trinity Dome at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the Catholic faith is stunningly depicted in image and word, as the Holy Trinity is surrounded by the words of the Creed, a procession of saints, and Our Blessed Mother. Learn more at www.TrinityDome.org. POOR BOX The Poor Box next weekend, May 20/21, will benefit Bethesda Cares, which helps place people living unsheltered into permanent, supportive housing; eases life for those sleeping on the street; and keeps low-income tenants from eviction. Bethesda Cares also provides a meal program, clothing closet, prescription assistance, and psychiatric services.
