THE MYSTERY OF INIQUITY II Thessalonians 2:1-10 Ephesians 6:12 The question often arises as to who or what is this Mystery of Iniquity? The answer is pretty simple if we use good bible study rules. Iniquity in scripture relates to sin. In the context of the verses in Thessalonians Paul is talking about the Rapture, the Holy Spirit, the anti-Christ, the Tribulation and the Second coming of Christ. Thus, the actual meaning here of the Mystery of Iniquity is that of the Devil working with all of his demons to bring about the culmination of the final rebellion against God. We will now find out how and where the Devil uses the ant-Christ. Names of anti-Christ – Dan., II Thes., Eze., Rev. These books of the bible give the names of the ant-Christ: Beast, Little horn, King, Prince, Man of Sin, Son of Perdition, That Wicked. A COUNTERFEIT CHRIST A. John 3:16 Jesus is the Son of God. II Thessalonians 2:3 Anti-Christ is the Son of Perdition. B. II Corinthians 13:14; I Peter 1:2 Jesus is the second person of the Holy Trinity. Revelation 16:13 The anti-Christ is the second person of the Satanic trinity. C. Acts 1:8 Jesus promises Holy Spirit power for the church. Revelation 13:11-14 The anti-Christ gives power to the second beast, (the false prophet), to create world wide worship of anti-Christ. D. Revelation 7:1-4 Jesus seals144,000 servants with His mark. Revelation 13:16-18 the anti-Christ seals billions of his world wide servants with his mark. ANTI-CHRIST Daniel 7:7-8, 19-21 These verses of the beast come from Daniel's first dream of the image that the King saw and give us the first good look at the anti-Christ and where and what he would eventually do. Daniel 8:23-25 The anti-Christ is shown to have a meteoric rise to power. He will have great understanding in order to solve world wide problems. He receives great powers from his father Satan in order to destroy all who oppose his will. His policies will contain the use of witchcraft and the occult. Dan. 8:25; 9:27; Rev. 6:2 The anti-Christ will come with a peace treaty and offer the world and Israel the peace they have longed after for so long. Daniel 12:8-10; I Cor. 2:14 Even though Daniel had written such prophetic truth regarding his people Israel and about the coming Tribulation he did not know the meaning of any of his writings. ANTI-CHRIST (ANGEL OR DEVIL) Jn. 14:1-3; Mt. 25:41 The bible is clear that there is a place prepared for the saints as well as a place that is prepared for the devil and his angels and each saint or devil will live somewhere forever. Heb. 13:2; Gen. 18:1-2,22; 19:1-3 The bible is also clear that angels often take on the form of man. John 6: 66-71 Notice closely that Jesus did not say Judas had a devil, Jesus said Judas is a devil! Heb. 10:5; Jn. 13:21-27 The ultimate counterfeit move. Spirits need a body. (Lk. 8:2, 26-27). John 13:21-27 Once again please take note that the bible says Satan entered into him, (Judas.) No where else in all of scripture does the Devil personally enter anyone else. Jn. 17:12; II Thes. 2:3 The context of these two verses must refer to Judas and the anti-Christ. Mat. 27:3-5; Acts 1:24-25 As soon as Jesus was condemned by His own people Judas hanged himself that he might go to his own place. Jn. 17:12; II Thes. 2:3 These verses would indicate that Judas Iscariot is the son of the Devil. Revelation 17:7-8 Notice that the “beast” was, then was not, then ascends out of the bottomless pit. Rev. 13:3; 17:8 The anti-Christ deceit of resurrection proves to the unbelieving Jews he is Christ.
