SERMON NOTES  Sunday, August 14, 2016 “THE TRUTH ABOUT HELL” (Matthew 25:41–46) Today in our God Talks series we take on a topic most would rather skip over. It’s the first biblical doctrine to be deleted when folks begin to discount the authority of the Bible. The reason we must talk about it is because Jesus talked about it. He is most prolific teacher in the Bible on the doctrine of hell. He said more about hell than heaven. What did Jesus have to say and what does it mean for us? “So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 13:49-50, ESV).
