6:15 p.m. Monday night we will hear Dr. John Bisagno, retired pastor of the First Baptist Church of Houston. He is the author of 25 books, a dynamic and effective crusade evangelist, and outstanding Bible teacher. During Dr. Bisagno's ministry in Houston, the church started 63 local missions and three schools, and sent over 450 of its members into full time Christian service, including 101 to the foreign mission ield. Also on Monday evening we will hear one of Christian music’s premiere male vocalists, Anthony Evans. Franklin Graham says: “what makes his music incredible is his voice, what makes his ministry incredible is his heart.” Don’t miss Anthony Evans Monday night.

Flowers may be placed in the Sanctuary in memory or in honor of a loved one by calling 593-3751. Cost of the arrangement is $60.00. Most dates in 2013 are open at this time.

Stories from Underneath the Steeple This week you can read stories by Ronald Dubois, Debbie Blakeney, Lindsey Davis, Ershad Ganjy and Beth Frith. From Our Pastor Welcome to First Baptist Church. If you are our guest, thank you for joining us today. We would love to be able to get to know you. Take a moment to register as a guest using the registration card attached to the bulletin. I also want to call your attention this morning to the fact that this week is Sanctity of Human Life Week, marking the 40th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe V. Wade decision legalizing abortion on demand in America. While we obviously do not support this decision, we do celebrate the fact that Southern Baptists are af iliated with some 250 crisis pregnancy centers scattered across the United States. Every time you give to the offering at First Baptist Church, a portion of your offering, through our denominational planned giving effort known as the Cooperative Program, is going to these Pro-Life Centers. In fact, our Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home now has a mobile unit that is travelling the state. The unit is equipped with an ultrasound machine showing pregnant women, who might be contemplating abortion, the precious life inside of them. Locally, there is a multidenominational ministry called, A Pregnancy Center and Clinic. The clinic is located in the Medical Building at 913 S. College Road, Suite 206, Lafayette, LA 70503. The phone number is 232-5509. In a letter I received this week from the clinic, they report that in 2012 they believe that 71 mothers made the decision to give birth instead of choosing abortion as a result of their ministry. In addition, they report that 33 ladies prayed with staff to profess Jesus Christ as Savior. The LORD may want you to be involved in that ministry at some level. I want to ask you today to give a free will offering to this ministry at the end of our service. We will conduct this offering as we do our Fifth Sunday Benevolence offerings. Have a blessed day as we worship the LORD together!
