Along with this exciting news, we have some bitter-sweet news to share with you. Our founding Assistant Principal of Instruction, Mrs. Escamilla will embark on a new journey after today. Mrs. Escamilla has been a member of our Team and Family for five years and was an instrumental part in making our school the very best IDEA Public Schools has to offer. Here are a few words from our staff:

This Week’s Updates Welcome back to the last leg of the 2016-2017 academic school year. We can tell our students are ready for our first STAAR Administration this coming week. 4th grade will be taking the first part of their writing portion and 5th grade will be taking their math portion on Tuesday. On th Wednesday, 5 grade will be taking their reading portion. We’d like to take this moment to introduce our new Assistant Principal of Operations (APO), Mr. Carlos Montero. Se nota que nuestros estudiantes ya están listos para la primera administración de STAAR. El 4º grado estará tomando la primera porción de escritura y 5o grado estará tomando la porción de matemáticas el martes. El miércoles, 5º grado estará tomando la porción de lectura. Nos gustaría aprovechar este momento para presentar a nuestro nuevo Subdirector de operaciones (APO), el Sr. Carlos Montero. El Sr. Montero supervisara todas las operaciones diarias no relacionadas con la instrucción. Los departamentos que supervisa el Sr. Montero son transporte, CNP, oficina de negocios, PEIMS, instalaciones y la clínica de salud. Si tiene alguna duda correspondiendo a estos departamentos favor de dirigirlos a él. ¡Bienvenido a bordo, señor Montero! Junto a esta emocionante noticia, tenemos una noticia agridulce para compartir con ustedes. Nuestra Subdirectora fundadora de instrucción, Mrs. Escamilla se embarcará en un nuevo camino después de hoy. Mrs. Escamilla ha sido una miembra de nuestro equipo y familia durante cinco años y fue una parte

integral en la fabricación de nuestra escuela en la mejor escuela que IDEA tiene que ofrecer. Aquí hay unas palabras de parte de unos miembros de nuestro personal: "Mrs. Escamilla alegra mi día, no importa qué clase de día que estoy teniendo. Escucho su famosa frase durante los anuncios de la mañana que nos recuerda a sonreír en caso de que alguien olvidó hacerlo, y eso es exactamente lo que yo hacía...sonreía! From the IDEA Academy Brownsville Team & Family Next Week Please contact your child’s tutorial teacher for tutorials that resume next week. There will be no tutorial for 3-5 grade on Tuesday and Wednesday due to STAAR testing. Little Mozarts, Golden Belles, Lego Club and Soccer resume next week. Make sure your child is wellrested and on time for breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday.
