You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. James 4:14 (NIV) “LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered— how fleeting my life is. You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath.” Psalm 39:4-5 (NLT)

A Personal View of Thriving During Difficulties (Psalm 116) 1. ___________________________________________ - BE REAL WITH HIM Death wrapped its ropes around me; the terrors of the grave overtook me. I saw only trouble and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the LORD: “Please, LORD, save me!” Psalm 116:3-4 (NLT) He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. Psalm 116:8 (NLT) I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. Psalm 57:2 (NIV)

2. ____________________________________________FOR GOD AND TELL HIM WHY I love the LORD because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! Psalm 116:1 (NLT) How kind the LORD is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! The LORD protects those of childlike faith; Psalm 116:5-6a (NLT)

3. ____________________________________________ YOUR WILL AND WAY TO GOD What can I offer the LORD for all he has done for me? Psalm 116:12 (NLT) • I will lift up the cup of salvation. and praise the LORD’s name for saving me. (13) • I will keep my promises to the LORD in the presence of all his people. (14) • I will offer you a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the LORD. (17) Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you. Psalm 116:8 (NIV)
