The sale will be conducted under the Forfar Mart conditions of sale which may be viewed in the main office. 2. Entries will ONLY be accepted on the official entry form, which MUST be signed by the VENDOR. 3. Auctioneers or any of their officers or staff shall not be in anyway responsible or accountable for any loss or damage however caused whilst on the market premises prior to, during or after the sale. 4. Methods of Sale – A lot will be the contents of a cage, either singular, pair or trio and will be sold in pounds sterling. Lots will be sold in catalogue order unless otherwise announced by the auctioneer. 5. All birds must be sexed, Pairs must consist of 1 male and 1 female and Trios must consist of 1 male and 2 females. 6. Upset Price – A minimum starting bid of £5.00 will apply to each lot (Eggs £1.00), below which the lot will not sell. If the upset price is not bid, the auctioneer will pass on to the next lot. 7. Reserve Price – A reserve price may be placed on any lot. Such reserves MUST be included on the entry form. No reserves will be accepted on day of sale. 8. Buyers Numbers – Potential purchasers are reminded to collect a buyers number (in exchange for verifiable details of names, addresses and telephone number) in the main office before making any bids. 9. Clearance – All lots must be cleared from the market premises, 1 hour after conclusion of sale. Purchasers may NOT remove lots without first presenting proof of ownership (i.e. a receipted invoice) to an official steward. Vendors with unsold lots must also produce a PASS from the office before removing the lots. 10. Settlement is due to the auctioneers immediately at the close of the sale. Payment will be made to vendors by cheque within one week of the date of the sale. 11. Commission – The auctioneers will charge vendors 10% commission on the sale price of each lot. 12. Substitute lots of a different class WILL NOT be accepted in place of any lots which are withdrawn by the vendor on the day of sale, neither will entry fees for such lots be refunded. 13.
