Where Kids Dive Deep Into the Bible I

pths of who I am I rejoice in God my savio n the de

7 r. Luke 1:4

Welcome to Deep Blue W

e’re glad you’re here to dive deep with us into God’s Word. We’ll have adventures, hear exciting Bible stories, and learn how to live as disciples of Jesus. The Bible is more than just a big book. It’s a gift to us. The Bible is meant to be opened, explored, and enjoyed. With Deep Blue, we’ll open our Bibles and learn more about God, Jesus, faith, and how it all fits together into life today.

Meet the Deep Blue Crew! The Deep Blue Kids—Asia, Edgar, Kat, and Caleb—will lead the children through the Bible using animated videos that tell the story. The student resources and the Deep Blue Kids Bible are colorful and engaging, encouraging the children to “dive deeper” into the Bible and explore their faith in fun and age-appropriate ways. Hi! My name is Asia, and I love to talk. Well, not just talk. Communicate. Report on what I see. Friends think I might make it on TV one day, but for now, I’m just happy to document all the great discoveries we will make in Deep Blue Kids. Hello. I’m pleased to meet you. My name is Edgar, and I’m always trying to figure things out. Some people say I’m too curious, but I just need to understand things. One of my favorite things to do is figure out how to get somewhere and then investigate everything I find in that new place. Join me and the rest of the Deep Blue Crew on our Deep Blue Kids adventures. Fall 2016

9781630887254_INT_00.indd 5

My name is Kat. I LOVE adventure, and I’ll bet you do too! We’re going to have so much fun in Deep Blue Kids. There’s so much to discover and explore about the Bible and what the Bible has to say to us today. The most fun part is that we’ll be doing it together! I’m Caleb. I’m a little shy when I first meet people I don’t know, but I’m sure I’ll like you. I really care about animals, and I usually carry my pet turtle, Speedy, in my coat pocket. I just moved to town to live in the lighthouse with my mother and stepfather, and I’m excited to join the Deep Blue Crew! In Deep Blue, children will make Bible stories, Bible people, and Bible passages a part of their lives. The children will come to know the Bible as THEIR book and find ways to let the Bible speak to them today. Deep Blue is a comprehensive Bible study for children, incorporating the pillar stories of the Old and New Testaments. Deep Blue incorporates Bible stories, science activities, arts and crafts, animated video storytelling, and active games into a lived-faith experience that will help children discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ today! deepbluekids.com

Joseph and His Brothers

September 4

Bible Verse

Genesis 37

The Lord was with Joseph. (Genesis 39:2)

Did You Know?

J

acob had a problem. The Bible says that Jacob preferred his son, Joseph, over his other sons. “Now, Israel [Jacob] loved Joseph more than any of his other sons because he was born when Jacob was old” (Genesis 37:3). Because of this favoritism, Jacob gave Joseph a special coat. We call this “the coat of many colors.” The long coat had long sleeves, which indicated to his brothers that Joseph was destined for greater things than they were. The ten brothers were made to tend the family’s sheep, but just the mere fact that Jacob had given Joseph this coat made the brothers think that Jacob was intending to make Joseph the inheritor of the birthright. Though the birthright was traditionally passed to the eldest son in a Hebrew family, it would not be the first time that another son received the birthright. Jacob, himself, the younger son, had cheated his brother, Esau, out of the family birthright. It would be highly unlikely that a parent’s favoritism of one child over another could lead to anything but distress. That is exactly what happened in Jacob’s family. Joseph added fuel to the fire by telling his brothers about his dreams in which he was a ruler over them. No wonder the brothers did not like Joseph! Because of their dislike of Joseph, the brothers devised a scheme to get rid of him. The brothers threw Joseph into a well and sold him to a group of travelers going to Egypt. Yet, this plan turned out to work to Joseph’s advantage. Through Joseph’s undying faithfulness to God, he survived and succeeded. This does indeed show us that “…all things work together for good for the ones who love God” (Romans 8:28).

Joseph believed he was created for a special purpose and his dreams were a part of that purpose. After Joseph’s brothers sold him to traders who were going to Egypt, Joseph must have felt that his whole world had been turned upside down. Instead of being the favored son and wearing a special coat, he was sold as a slave. Joseph no longer had material possessions. However, we watch as Joseph rises to the top in Egypt, but not without difficulty. Joseph worked in Potiphar’s house and was such a good worker, that he became a very trusted servant. Joseph became prosperous. However, Joseph’s greatest possession might have been his abundant faith in God. No matter what happened, Joseph chose to follow God and to be God’s disciple. Joseph knew it was wrong to sleep with Potiphar’s wife, and so he didn’t. Joseph trusted in God and did the right thing. Joseph lived God’s way. Joseph understood that true prosperity was knowing that God was with him in everything he did. Even when Joseph was put in prison, he trusted God. Trusting in God must have been difficult for Joseph while he was in prison.

Bible Verse

Genesis 41

The Lord was with Joseph. (Genesis 39:2)

Did You Know?

A

fter rising to a position of power in Potiphar’s household, Joseph was accused of a crime that he did not commit and was thrown in jail. Potiphar’s wife falsely accused Joseph of being with her, and Potiphar, not knowing the truth, had Joseph locked away in prison. Ultimately, Joseph rose to a position of power with Pharaoh, but he certainly experienced great highs and lows in his adopted land of Egypt.

Pharaoh began to have strange dreams, and neither his magicians, nor any of his advisors could tell him what the dreams meant. Finally, the cupbearer who had spent some time in jail with Joseph, told Pharaoh about Joseph and his ability to interpret dreams. Pharaoh called for Joseph. In an act of respect to the Egyptians, Joseph shaved and cleaned himself up before he approached Pharaoh. In Israel, a beard was a sign of respect. In Egypt, a beard was an offensive thing. When Joseph heard pharaoh’s dream, he was able to correctly interpret it. Pharaoh was impressed with Joseph’s gift of dream interpretation, but Joseph told Pharaoh that it was not he, but God working through him that enabled the dream to be interpreted. Pharaoh knew he needed a good administrator to get the land of Egypt through the years of famine, so who better than the man who had correctly interpreted the dream? Joseph was second in command to Pharaoh. Joseph’s life sums up Romans 8:28: “We know that God works all things together for good for the ones who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

Joseph and His Brothers Reunited

September 25

Bible Verse

Anchor Point

The Lord was with Joseph. (Genesis 39:2)

Did You Know?

Bible Story Genesis 42—46

God is with us wherever we go.

Your Lesson

T

he drought and famine arrived in Egypt just like pharaoh’s dream had predicted, and Joseph saved food and stored it in Egyptian storehouses so the people would not starve. Not only was Egypt affected by this drought and famine, but Canaan, where Jacob and his family lived, was also affected. Jacob wanted his sons to go back to Egypt and get food again from the man who was in charge of distributing it. This man was, of course, his son, Joseph. Yet Joseph had made it very clear that the brothers must bring back their youngest brother, Benjamin, before Joseph would give them more food. Jacob, who had already lost Joseph, and possibly Simeon, reluctantly let Benjamin go back with his brothers to Egypt. The brothers were hoping to buy corn to feed their starving families. Once again, Joseph discussed the food situation with his brothers, but they did not recognize him. After giving his brothers a hard time, Joseph did eventually reveal himself to them and forgave them for selling him. Joseph recognized that the situation had turned out to be good because he was able, with God’s help, to save thousands of people from starving throughout the known world. “Joseph said to his brothers, ‘Come closer to me,’ and they moved closer. He said, ‘I’m your brother Joseph! The one you sold to Egypt. Now, don’t be upset and don’t be angry with yourselves that you sold me here. Actually, God sent me before you to save lives.’” (Genesis 45:4-5) Joseph recognized his purpose in life. Do you recognize your purpose in life? Is it to follow and obey God and to have a close relationship with God?

The Baby in the Basket

October 2

Bible Verse

Exodus 1:8-14; 2:1-10

“I’ll set you free with great power.” (Exodus 6:6)

Did You Know?

I

n our Bible story today, Moses was born. Moses’ birth occurred four hundred years after the Bible story of Joseph. The Israelites continued to live in the land of Goshen in Egypt and they became very numerous. The promise that God gave Abraham came about—but very slowly. It seems that the Israelites became more fertile when they were enslaved than when they were free. The fact that the Israelites were so numerous upset the Egyptians who did not remember Joseph and who had no emotional connection to him.

The Egyptians were full of fear by the increasing population of the Hebrews. Their decision was to make life as miserable and difficult for the Hebrews as possible. In drawings from the time period, there are scenes of slaves working to build edifices with taskmasters over them holding rods or sticks in their hands. This was a common experience for the Hebrews. In the middle of this hardship, Moses was born. His parents hid him so that he could live. The Hebrews were suffering. The CEB states, “We don’t always know how or why suffering is allowed to happen. But we do know that we’re in God’s hands. God works through people and situations to help those who suffer.” (from Common English Bible Deep Blue Kids Bible [2012] © Common English Bible)

God did work in the lives of the Hebrew people. As we will see in the coming weeks, Moses rose to become the leader of the Hebrews. Moses’ persistence in dealing with Pharaoh and Moses’ great leadership skills delivered the Israelites from their difficult lives in Egypt. The purpose of Moses’ life became to lead God’s people out of Egypt. In the course of that forty year wilderness experience, the people also learned to depend on and trust in God. Are you learning to depend on and trust in God?

The Burning Bush

October 9

Bible Verse

Exodus 2:11—3:22

“I’ll set you free with great power.” (Exodus 6:6)

Did You Know?

M

oses grew up as the grandson of Pharaoh in the royal palace. Moses had all the advantages that life could bring to a boy, including an education.

Moses had a passion for justice. Moses knew that he was a Hebrew, and he knew the Hebrews were mistreated in Egypt. Moses’ passion for justice for his fellow people was known by God. When Moses killed an Egyptian for mistreating a Hebrew, Moses ran away to Midian, which was several hundred miles east of Egypt.

Moses married and became a shepherd in Midian, but still that passion for justice burned in his heart. One day, while shepherding, God confronted Moses. God knew the heart of Moses, and God knew Moses’ passion for justice. God introduced himself to Moses. God said, “I am the God of your father, Abraham’s God, Isaac’s God, and Jacob’s God” (Exodus 3:6). There was no doubt in Moses’ mind about whose Presence he was in. At this point, God commissioned Moses. God gave Moses instructions for what God wanted him to do. God said, “I’ve clearly seen my people oppressed in Egypt. I’ve heard their cry of injustice because of their slave masters. I know about their pain. I’ve come down to rescue them from the Egyptians in order to take them out of that land and bring them to a good and broad land, a land that’s full of milk and honey…I’m sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt” (Exodus 3:7-8, 10). Like a normal human being, Moses was frightened and objected to God’s call, but God reassured Moses. God said, “I’ll be with you” (Exodus 3:12). God calls all of us to do different things. What have you been called to do? Always remember that God is with you just like God was with Moses.

Did You Know?

M

oses and his brother, Aaron, became a team to try to get Pharaoh to let the Israelites worship God in the wilderness for three days. They went to Pharaoh and tried to convince him to let the Israelites go, but Pharaoh knew what a big workforce the Israelites were, and Pharaoh would not allow the Israelites to leave. Every time Pharaoh told Moses and Aaron, “No,” something horrific happened in Egypt. These horrific happenings were called the plagues.

Pharaoh had never heard of God or Yahweh, so Pharaoh was reluctant to let the Israelites go for a number of reasons. Pharaoh did not fear God. Pharaoh had his own contingency of magicians who had power. We also see in Pharaoh an unreasonable man. In his effort to make life even harder for the Israelites, Pharaoh refused to give them straw to make bricks. The Israelites had to find the straw wherever they could. Yet, the Israelites were still expected to build great buildings at the same rate they had before—when they were given the straw. The whole thing didn’t make sense. Pharaoh believed the Israelites were lazy and were trying to go on a holiday in the wilderness. The main message of this passage is that God is sovereign and provides deliverance for people from whatever form of slavery they find themselves in. What are you being a slave to: overwork, perfection, making money? Whatever you feel you are focusing on more than God, remember that God can and will deliver you from that situation.

In certain places of the country, children can go to one of these schools to help them learn to read and write and become good leaders. What is a leader? (Let the children respond.) A Christian leader is a person who helps other people live the way Jesus wants us to live. We are going to play a game called “Lead, lead, serve.” It is like “Duck, duck, goose.” Everyone sit in a circle on the floor. • Choose one child to be IT. IT goes around the circle, tapping two children on the head while saying, “Lead.” IT then taps a third child on the head while saying, “Serve.” • The “Serve” child chases IT around the circle. Crossing the Sea

October 23

Bible Verse

Exodus 13:17—14:31

“I’ll set you free with great power.” (Exodus 6:6)

Did You Know?

W

hen the Israelites left Egypt, they were 2,000,000 strong! No wonder the Egyptians were worried about their great numbers! However, the Israelites had been slaves for a long time and probably did not have the fighting and survival skills they needed to survive in the wilderness. One wonders if they were even very acquainted with God.

When the people left Egypt, they did leave with Joseph’s bones and with the jewels and other valuables that the Egyptians had given them. Their goal was to go back to the land of Canaan where Jacob (Israel) and his sons had lived before. But first they had to travel southeast, which was straight toward the Reed Sea. God provided a cloud column to lead them by day and a lightning column to lead them at night. This was evidence that God was with them on this journey. After Pharaoh let the Israelites go, he had strong regrets. He must have thought, “How could I let a workforce of 2,000,000 people go just because their leader kept bugging me?” Pharaoh had to do something, so his army chased the Israelites across Egypt in order to get them to return.

God specifically instructed Moses to raise his hand and shepherd’s rod to part the Reed Sea, and it parted! Surprisingly enough, the Egyptian army went straight in after the Israelites! This dramatic event shows us that God wanted the Israelites to worship God in their homeland, and that God is with us in frightening situations. As we will see in the next few weeks, God instructs the Israelites and provides for their needs. God is still doing that today. God will instruct you and provide for your needs. All you need to do is to trust and obey!

Songs of Joy

October 30

Bible Verse

Exodus 15:1-21

“I’ll set you free with great power.” (Exodus 6:6)

Did You Know?

T

he Ode that Miriam sang in the Bible may be one of the oldest, if not the oldest, poem or song that is recorded. Tradition has it that Moses wrote the Book of Exodus. Moses would have been very educated since he grew up in Pharaoh’s household, and the other Israelites would not have been as well-educated or even literate since they had spent their lives as slaves.

The Ode is a song of thanksgiving. The Israelites had been through a traumatic event crossing the Reed Sea and being chased by the Egyptian army. Most likely the Israelites were full of joy and needed to express that emotion. According to tradition, Miriam probably led the women in singing and dancing; and Moses probably led the men in singing and dancing. They were celebrating their safe and miraculous deliverance from the Egyptians! The site of this celebration would have been on the eastern shore of the Reed Sea at a place called “Ayoun Musa,” or as it has become known, “The fountains of Moses.” The dancing and singing took place in the morning after the nighttime passage through the Reed Sea.

In the Wilderness

Bible Verse

Exodus 15:22—17:7

Bible Story

“I’ll take you as my people, and I’ll be your God.” (Exodus 6:7)

Anchor Point God cares for all people.

Did You Know?

T

he Israelites had made it safely across the Sea. They came to the Wilderness of Shur, and they had a big problem! Food and water were not plentiful in the wilderness. They complained to Moses, their leader. Moses, not knowing what to do with these ungrateful people, cried out to God for help. God answered.

There is a lesson in this. When we are in trouble, we need to ask God for help and “lean not on our own understanding.” God did provide for the people. God provided water for the people to drink—and one of the greatest miracles in the Bible—God also provided food for them every day, that is, manna and quail. Interestingly enough, with the giving of manna to the people, God also established a soon-to-be revealed commandment—that of resting on the sabbath. For six days, the people collected the manna; and, on the sixth day, they collected enough manna for the next day too. The manna is thought to have been sweet tasting. Perhaps this was a sign of things to come as the people travelled to the “Land of Milk and Honey.” The Israelites did receive food from God—but not before a lot of complaining and grumbling on their part. Complaining and grumbling could be a sign of ungratefulness, self-centeredness, immaturity, and insecurity. God was at work in the wilderness teaching the Israelites how to trust and obey and how to be “God’s people.” The Israelites had many lessons to learn as do we!

Your Lesson

Perhaps God and Moses realized that the people had been slaves for 400 years and needed help in knowing what was right and wrong. God loved the people and wanted to develop a relationship with them.

□ Play Dough Stone Tablets

he Ten Commandments were given to Moses on Mt. Sinai, also known as Mt. Horeb. Mt. Horeb was the place where Moses encountered God in a burning bush and was told to go to Pharaoh and lead the people out of Egypt.

“The Ten Commandments that God gave to Moses were the first of many instructions to God’s people. The first four commandments focused on the Israelites’ relationship with God. The next six focused on their relationships with each other. They were still learning about God… . They had to learn what God wanted from them.” “The Bible has many instructions for us, and they are all for our good. Some rules, like ‘Do not kill,’ probably seem easy to obey. Other instructions, like ‘Honor your father and mother,’ are harder to follow. But God loves us, and by obeying God’s rules, we show that we love God.” (from Common English Bible Deep Blue Kids Bible [2012] © Common English Bible) The Ten Commandments are still around today, and still cause strife and turmoil among people. The Israelites stood in awe and were afraid of God’s Presence in the thunder, smoke, and lightning; but Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid.” God wanted to help the people and give them some direction that would help them live Godly lives in which they were devoted to God and followed God. Are you in a deep relationship with God? If not, take this moment and day and try to follow God more closely.

A House for God

November 20

Bible Verse

Exodus 25—31:15; 35:4—40:38

“I’ll take you as my people, and I’ll be your God.” (Exodus 6:7)

Did You Know?

T

he House for God was actually a meeting tent that Moses put up a little distance away from the camp of the Israelites. Moses wanted a special place to converse with God. Moses could not climb Mt. Sinai every time he needed to spend time with God. The tent of meeting was also available for the people of Israel to use when they needed instruction from God. The tent of meeting, which is sometimes known as The Tabernacle, was actually a mobile house of worship. The Israelites could pack it and move it when they moved. Included in today’s Bible reading is also an elaborate description of how the ark of the covenant was to be built. Sacrifices occurred at the tent of meeting. There are specific instructions in Exodus for which animals were to be sacrificed, how often they were to be sacrificed, and what to do with their blood. The animal sacrifices served as an atonement for the sins of the Israelites. Aaron and his sons were established as the first Levitical priests of the Tabernacle. The Levite tribe camped the closest around the tent of meeting. Though this special structure appears to have been the center of life in the Israelite camp, we do not hear what became of it after Solomon built the Temple. Do you have a specific place where you can encounter God? To the young children you teach, church and Sunday school is the first place they encounter God. Do your best to make Sunday school a place where they feel loved and affirmed and become aware that God loves them.

SESSION 13

The Peaceable Kingdom

November 27

Bible Verse

Isaiah 11:6-9

“I’ll take you as my people, and I’ll be your God.” (Exodus 6:7)

Did You Know?

T

Bible Story Anchor Point God cares for all people.

his very famous passage in Isaiah talks about animals who are natural enemies of each other: the wolf and the lamb, the leopard and the young goat, the calf and the young lion. Evidently, there will be a time coming when there will be great peace. Natural enemies of each other will learn to live in peace with each other. In the Garden of Eden, there was a time of peace, but that ended when Eve and Adam ate the forbidden fruit. For many Christians, this passage foretells the time when Christ’s kingdom will have perfect peace in it.

Your Lesson

There are many different interpretations of this text. One interpretation expressed by some Christians is that the time is coming when a little child (the child Jesus) will come to the earth and teach people how to live in peace. Following Jesus intently can give a person such joy and peace that he or she will be able to live in perfect harmony with natural enemies.

□ Baby Jesus Ornaments

At Christmastime, we celebrate the coming of Jesus who teaches us about peace. During the next few weeks of Advent, invite Christ into your heart and life, and ask God to give you peace. What a difference you will feel and experience.

Oh, Brothers September Song—Unit 1 Oh, brothers, my brothers, hear what I say. Oh, brothers, my brothers, God meant it to be this way. Oh, brothers, my brothers, everyone knows. Oh, brothers, my brothers, this is how the story goes. This is how the story goes. We got off to a rocky start. You had a jealous heart. I was proud of the coat I wore, but you showed me to the door. I didn’t know what was to be, but God took care of me. God made the story come true. God made the story, and the story came true.

Oh, brothers, my brothers, hear what I say. Oh, brothers, my brothers, God meant it to be this way. Oh, brothers, my brothers, everyone knows. Oh, brothers, my brothers, this is how the story goes. This is how the story goes.

God alone took me by the hand, led me to Egypt land. Then I landed in jail, it seems, till I explained their dreams. You didn’t recognize me since I had become a prince. All was forgiven for good. (All was forgiven for good.) The way God said, God said that it would. Oh brothers, my brothers.

Oh, brothers, my brothers, hear what I say. Oh, brothers, my brothers, God meant it to be this way. Oh, brothers, my brothers, everyone knows. Oh, brothers, my brothers, this is how the story goes. Oh, brothers, my brothers, hear what I say. (Hear what I say.) Oh, brothers, my brothers, God meant it to be this way. (Oh, yes, he did.) Oh, brothers, my brothers, everyone knows. (Everyone knows.) Being Free October Song—Unit 2 Everybody gather ‘round when you hear that trumpet sound. The time has come to go across the sea. Moses is a-waitin’; it’s a time for celebratin’. And you’ll see just what it feels like being free.

Being free, being free. Oh, it feels so good to be free. Leave your troubles and your sorrow. Soon you’ll see a new tomorrow ‘cause there’s nothing in the world like being free. (Let me hear you now. Oh, yeah.) We have waited for the day that our God would show the way, as good a God as any God can be. Now the future’s lookin’ sunny in that land of milk and honey. Once you’ve had a taste of freedom, you’ll agree.

Bein’ free. So now let’s take a pause, a moment for the cause and those who gave their all so faithfully. Then with thankfulness and love, we give praise to God above and let freedom ring for everyone to see.

Being free, oh, being free. Yes, it feels so good to be free. Leave your troubles and your sorrow. Soon you’ll see a new tomorrow, and where freedom is that’s where I want to be. ‘Cause there’s nothing in the world, there’s nothing in the world like being free. Bein’ free.

Standing on Holy Ground (Unit 2 Bonus Song—recorded on the CD-ROM only) Moses traveled far and wide through the desert to the other side. Moses made it, climbed the mountain height, saw God’s fire shining, burning bright. And a voice said, “Stop right where you are.”

‘Cause you are standing, standing, standing on holy ground. You are standing, standing at the place where God is found. You are standing, standing, standing on holy ground. So remove your sandals, take a look around. You’re standing on holy ground. God told Moses, “I have heard your prayer. Free my people. I will send you there.” God told Moses, “Surely as you stand, tell my people, I AM because I AM. And just remember where you are.”

Yes, you are standing, standing, standing on holy ground. You are standing, standing at the place where God is found. You are standing, standing, standing on holy ground. So remove your sandals, take a look around. You’re standing on holy ground. You are standing, standing on holy ground. You are standing, standing on holy ground. On holy ground.

Every Step of the Way November Song—Unit 3 When the children of Israel fled from Egypt land, God was with them every step of the way. Then the going got rougher as they crossed the wilderness, but God was with them every step of the way. Wherever I go, wherever I stay, God is with me every step of the way. When the children of Israel crossed the desert sand, God was with them every step of the way. And when Moses their leader needed help to understand, God was with him every step of the way.

Wherever I go, wherever I stay, God is with me every step of the way. All there is to know, all there is to say, God is with us every step of the way. Every step of the way. Every step of the way. Then the children of Israel reached the Promised Land; God was with them every step of the way. And when the peaceable Kingdom comes to where we stand, God will be there every step of the way.

Wherever I go, wherever I stay, God is with me every step of the way. All there is to know, all there is to say, God is with us every step of the way. Every day. Every step of the way.

Meet Caleb Hello, my name is Caleb. Let me tell you about myself. I am new to the Deep Blue Kids Crew. My family just moved into the lighthouse. My mom just remarried and my stepdad is the lighthouse keeper. This is the first time I have lived near the water. I am a city boy and I like to ride my skateboard; but, I still need to find a place to ride. I really like animals and love taking care of them. My pet turtle hangs out with me most of the time. He is a lot like I am—I like to cover my head when I am a little unsure about those around me. When I get to know people, my hoodie comes down—just like my turtle, Speedy, will eventually stick his head out of his shell. My mom and stepdad take me to church each week, but I really am not sure about all these new people. I don’t talk much around new people because I am shy. Many people think I don’t care because I sit on the edge of the group until I know I can trust them…and know I really want to be part of the group. Mom says I need to work on trusting people a little more easily. I really like the lighthouse; it is fun to explore. I really like going all the way to the top and looking out over the water. I have found a few new friends at the Tree House. I am so excited that I’ll be going on adventures with them.
