ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A WAY TO SUPPORT THE SCHOOL? Interested in the opportunity to provide an auction item or experiences for the Immanuel Spring Gala on April 27? If so, please contact Carole Fiesman at [email protected]. LIBRARY CORNER — April is here! We celebrate many of our favorite author’s birthdays this month. Beverly Cleary, Barbara Park, Patrick Reilly Giff, Marquerite Henry, Lois Duncan, Anthony Horowitz, Hans Christian Andersen and the ever famous William Shakespeare. Recently, 5th grader left a manuscript on my desk. It was two short stories she had written entitled A LIFE FULL OF RAINBOWS, by Allison Hadad. Maybe one day she will join the ranks of the famous and a librarian will check out one of her books to a group of students. I know our teachers encourage our students not only to read but also to write about the rainbows in their lives. Good JOB Allison!! KIDS OF THE KINGDOM — We met this week and did another project for the Kyros Ministry. We made placemats for prisoners and also birthday and ‘thinking of you’ cards with small silk bouquets for shut-ins. There is nothing as precious as a beautifully drawn spring picture by a little one. Mrs. Koenig and I want to thank Mrs. Anne Larson for the gift of various cards for the shut-ins, all our wonderful parent volunteers, and especially the AMAZING 5th graders who choose to help us out every month. Next month will be our last meeting for this school year. We plan to Celebrate our KIDS of the KINGDOM and have a small party! DADDY-DAUGHTER DANCE is fast approaching on April 13, 2018 at The Pointe from 6:30—8:30 pm. Please RSVP to Janet Rudsinski at [email protected]. Join us for DANCING, PRIZES and FUN! Bring a healthy treat to pass! THANK YOU to the families who provided the teachers’ luncheon for this month — the Storz family, the Cochran family, the Olmstead family and the Patrick family! It was very much appreciated and it truly warmed their hearts on a cold spring day! FINE ARTS FESTIVAL will be held on Friday, April 20 for Grades 5— 8. There will be no school for preschool—4th grade. Participants should refer to details provided by Mrs. Moeller. NEW BOX TOP FOR EDUCATION CONTEST — Please remember to buy, clip and save those Box Tops for Education. This new contest will run from Apr 9—May 11. Please use the contest sheets instead of turning in bags of labels. You may download one from the document section on Sycamore. After you tape or staple your Box Tops, just write your child’s grade on the sheet and send it to the office. The class with the most labels will win a special dessert and lemonade treat! Thank you!

Give+ Mobile — You can now contribute to our church through a mobile app! To easily make donations directly from your smart phone, download Give+ Mobile for free from the App Store or Google Play. You can choose to donate as a guest or set up an account that allows you to schedule recurring donations securely and conveniently. We hope you enjoy this new way to contribute to our ministry, and thank you for your support. MILITARY ADDRESSES — Please forward all addresses of our Immanuel and friend military service men and women to [email protected].
